BREAKING: Speaker Mike Johnson just inexcusably voted against the American people and his voters by casting the tie-breaking vote 212-212 to defeat a FISA 702 amendment requiring a warrant to spy on Americans.

Requiring a warrant in the process if it involved spying on Americans... wherever... why, that would EXPOSE what they are doing. No ZERO oversight—not even from people who LEAK crap all the time. Obamaumao is quite pleased as are all of his Alinsky Marxists KNOWN to be in place. Who in the Hell is this Johnson. The “sleeper” Speaker... installed, using the stupid Gaetz a@@clowns who are part of Cannabis, Inc. (Fact, folks.).

Statement by the President on FISA Amendments Reauthorization Act of 2017

Today, I signed into law S. 139, “FISA Amendments Reauthorization Act of 2017” (the “Act”). The Act reauthorizes Title VII of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act until December 31, 2023, and makes a number of amendments to current law. Section 702 of Title VII allows the Intelligence Community, under a robust regime of oversight by all three branches of Government, to collect critical intelligence on international terrorists, weapons proliferators, and other important foreign intelligence targets located outside the United States...

Which is why we must fight harder to keep the government from confiscating our firearms. We’re going to need them.

I’m confused-—I saw this story just now:

House passes FISA reauthorization bill after previous GOP setback
ABC News ^

In a 273 to 147 vote, lawmakers renewed Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which is set to expire on April 19, through 2026. It now heads to the Senate.

Section 702 allows the U.S. government to collect electronic communications of non-Americans located outside the country without a warrant. It came under scrutiny among some lawmakers on both sides of the aisle and civil liberties groups because it sometimes results in the collection of data on Americans who are in contact with those surveilled individuals.

Requiring a warrant is no protection when the FBI can LIE to a court to get one and never suffer any consequences.

According to Johnson somethings he learned in the “Skiff” caused him to change his mind. Since whatever he learned was highly classified, we won’t learn about whatever it was he saw.

Best guess is that, given all the anti-US, pro-Hamas demonstrations, some US citizen(s)/group(s) are in contact with ME terrorists.

Passing the amendment would mean that the communication between the putative US pro-Hamas people would be out of bounds to listen in on. And that would give them a freehand to pull of some terrorist attack, a la 9/11.

Yes. They were against everything ‘establishment’.

And I remember the radicals saying ‘don’t trust anyone over 30’, but now they idolize the oldest (and most mentally decrepit) president we’ve ever had.

At least the pendulum swings, and will again.
