If I were in Tehran, I’d be hoping that the drones don’t make it, as being reduced to glass is not a great outcome.
They might wait and send the faster ordnance like cruise missiles to arrive at the same time or a little later than the drones.

However, evidently this attack will most probably be based on a “cumulative” attack...Hezbollah will probably launch a massive missile attack on Israel as well once the Iranian missiles arrive in the area. They will try to overwhelm Israeli air defenses...

9 hours to travel about 1200 miles? 133 mph? That would be too easy to shoot down...especially if Israel can shoot stuff down at heights of higher than 60 miles..

Except, unlike that epic aerial armada, this is a “first strike”, and not an actual retaliation for an attack on Iran by US and Israeli military elements.

The way attacks generally work is, a long-range weapon(s) is fired. When the weapon is within strike range, additional short-range weapons are fired to deplete the interceptors or jam the radars or just flood the defenses. I would expect that Hezbollah will launch a massive missile and drone strike at exactly the right moment. Several years ago, when I checked, Iron Dome missiles were $45k each. You have to wonder how many they have on hand.
Incidentally, I read years ago that Israel kept a sub on station in the Persian Gulf to retaliate if Iran strikes. I don’t recall if that is confirmed information or if it’s still accurate. The Persian Gulf is a bathtub for a sub. It would be hard to keep a diesel electric sub charged in such a confined, shallow place and Iran does have impressive strike capabilities in the Gulf. They are short range and mostly disposable. But they’d make survival difficult.
Yes...you are correct...supposedly the Shaheed 136 Iranian drones fly at about 115 mph. My incredulity was based on the fact that it would appear idiotic to send such a slow moving target in an attack...by contrast the German v-1 flew at 400 mph...so something else must be afoot...or the mullahs really got their brains in their shorts...
