Iran is reportedly getting a terrifying arsenal from Russia, including anti-aircraft launchers and fighter jets — and is threatening to fire weapons it has never before used in “a severe, extensive and painful response” to the “slightest action” by Israel.
Abolfazl Amouei, a spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee, told a local news station Monday that the Islamic Republic “will confront any Israeli aggression and respond to it.”
“We are ready to use weapons that we have not used before,” the official told Al-Mayadeen News, according to the Economic Times.
“We have plans for all scenarios, and we call on the Zionists to act rationally.”

Well, Iran did attack Israel, directly.
Time for Israel to attack Iran directly, and take out all of their weapons storage facilities, INCLUDING their nuclear weapons research facilities, and drone development facilities.
Iran can ask Russia for help, but then, Russia is now more dependent on Iran for weapons than the other way. Russia will not gt involved with the Iran/Israel war.
If they used WMDs, they would be at war with everyone except China and Russia. If I were Israel, I would hit infrastructure and their central bank. Destroy their ports and refineries. This gives them more significant problems to deal with than Israel.
They aren’t bluffing and can back up their threats. I think even Netanyahu realizes it would be suicidal for Israel to go to war with Iran. Iran managed to hit inside Israel’s heavily guarded nuclear zone which has the highest air defense of any military installation in the world. And Iran’s ballistic missiles penetrated that high security area easily.
Russian isn’t going to fight a war on 2 fronts, they need it all for Ukraine

Suppose Iran was able to wipe Israel off the map...would that solve what ails them?

If Iran is clobbered but good by Israel —Iran will play the victim card and get international support (which they want and need) from Egypt, Turkey, and Others. You could set their nuke program back a few months and years. The question is what will Iraq do? In this Israel could win the war and lose the peace—and lose a big piece of Israel in the infamous “Two-State solution.”

Our military always underperforms at international displays, so they can ask congress for more money.
I’ve heard they have an island with their oil refineries on it. Also heard suggestions they might go after their electrical/energy grid
