I thought it was Trump and conservatives that violated the rights of the press. Apparently not.

And with no TV , unless their cell phone videos go viral they will totally give up on this protesting stuff and go home to smoke dope and play video games as usual in college life.

Your premise is sound, though the rioters will probably still upload through apps like Periscope, etc.
Unless cell phone start getting jammed in that area?

Just watched a little of a JFK era interview film.

They reminded me that all of the local TV stations’ film of the events of the assassination day were confiscated by the FBI. Interviews, eyewitnesses, accidental views of important things——all destroyed by the government.

One of the freedoms we lost long ago was freedom of the press.

“No cameras, no need to protest.”

I suspect that’s not the logic. More likely, the logic is that Columbia doesn’t want the media to report what’s happening there. It’s bad PR for Columbia. And it’s embarrassing to the progressive cause, as well as to NYC’s image.

I wonder why they are keeping the press out? Are they about to crack down on the students? Are things about to get violent?

No, they are making space for non-kosher food trucks to come in as these were one of the demands of the Hamas.

Not a “safety measure.” It’s to keep the world from knowing that a bunch of spoiled, rich anarchists is protecting a bunch of spoiled, rich anarchists and allowing them to run rampant, take hostages, and destroy everything.

This was predictable.

I’m betting that the hate-America organizers will tell the colleges and the students to turn the violence up a notch every week or so, until campuses resemble downtown Port au Prince.

Communist tactic: destabilize the civil order. Grab more power in the ensuing confusion. Never let go of that power.
