As many of you know, God's Word is a gift to all of us that offers advice and guidance from the Creator and Author of life. There is not a situation that a person faces in life that the Holy Bible does not address. It can be a closed book, a book of mystery, a mere jumble of words for those who not have faith in God. Let me share with you a verse that is a response to times like these:
Ecclesiastes Chapter 3
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn an a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and time to mend, a time to be silent and time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
Brother Freepers - NOW is a time to hate and a time for war.
Pray that God will give us the victory over those who sow terror over this earth and those who support it.

Maybe this will put our times in perspective. Regards.

What is Love
1 Corinthians 13
If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end.
For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end.
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways.
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face.
Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known.
And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Kathy - Thank you. A beautiful verse from the Apostle Paul. It was written to address a different problem within the church at Corinth. Ecclesiastes 3:8 addresses one of few times in our lives where we find true evil staring us in the face. We are to hate it and resist it. I've been praying for many things, including our enemies. My prayer is that they would repent and avoid the future bloodshed by making themselves available to international law enforcement authorities. If they don't repent and surrender, their will be war.
