Indeed, one of the Indian papers (the Hindustan Times, I think), speculated that "intelligence" meant prisoners.

If they've discovered something very important, it's not all that bright to shout it from the rooftops, especially when there's no need to do it. The purpose of this raid was to instill fear into the Taliban cockroaches by using serious shock force to hit an area that the Taliban thought was safe and hidden from US air raids.

I believe the thought that we can insert troops into their stronghold when we want to is psychologically crushing to them and I believe that was the intent of the action.
