Hovering helicopters (Batman!)

Does anyone know why helicopters would be hover over my neighborhood? I live about three miles west of the Northeast Philidelphia airport. For the last hour, there have be at least two helicopters hovering at one or two thasand feet. Not moving, than repositioning and not moving, etc. They seem to be coordinating when they move. They were facing north. One kept about a half mile southwest of the other. I put my scope on them, and they are white. It's too dark to see any markings. Nothing on the local news. No major highways for them to be traffic watching. Any ideas?

Not funny...had my tomatoe plants scoped out twice. The garden was below my cabin and one time I was on the deck having a cool one and staring eyeball to eyeball with these guys.

If they are law enforcement - they are probably assisting a search on the ground. They probably have some sort of thermal imaging system and are looking for someone on foot. Could be a robbery suspect, a burgler, or someone running from a traffic stop/accident.

Lock the door and put away that silly scope, spring for a set of bino's - it may save your life one day.
