Landois, a fan of rappers Snoop Dogg and Puff Daddy and who sometimes played basketball with his younger cousinWhat could POSSIBLY be the rationale for adding this statement to the article??
If I were the editor of the Visalia Times-Delta, this reporter would be fired in a New York minute!

Did they remember to wear clean underwear?

Speaking from her mobile home in Omaha, the pair's mother, Yolanda Garcia, expressed sympathy for Donaldson's relatives Saturday. "My heart goes out to them," she said. "I feel sorry for that family ... [My sons] did a very, very stupid thing.
"It's sad, and it's kind of embarrassing the way they did it and the way it happened -- wearing wigs and dresses."
Before Hernandez was caught in Utah, Garcia was careful not to disclose to the Times-Delta that she knew of his possible involvement in the robbery to allay the chances of his capture, she said Saturday.
What was that about an apology? Very, very, stupid mother should be prosecuted for aiding and abetting, and given the overtime bill for the capture.

When the two got to the van, Collier said he became suspicious after noticing the parolee had to "jimmy" its door open. After he realized the van was stolen, he arrested Hernandez. It's good to see that brilliant powers of deduction continue to be a staple of good police work. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would be proud...

The ever-alert Trooper Collier was right on top of this one. Can't believe this happened in Visalia. Pretty depressing story.

"...the dead man, Carlos R. Landois Jr., was reportedly heard to say, 'Jose, bro, this dress is to die for, I ain't givin' it back' "
....shortly before being shot to death by Trooper Collier.
