When will the government wake up and close/militarize the borders....

After the close the borders end the insane WOD and free up manpower to track terrorists instead of POT smokers

The Gov. of Arizona has at his disposal, the Arizona National Guard. The National Guard has at it's disposal, at least ONE Sherman Tank. How about the next time an incursion is detected, a single tank is used to meet the Mexicans. Then if they want to fire on the tank, the tank can fire back. As Shermans can fire with pin point accuracy, while moving over rough terrain at up to 75 mph; I think this would send a clear message to the Mexicans who are illegally on our soil, and commiting an act of war.

Where are Generals Pershing & MacArthur, when we need them?
Frankly, I would like to see good relations with our Mexican neighbors, but good relations start with mutual respect. And so long as they refuse to respect our borders, and our rights in our own land to preserve our own land for our own people; mutual respect will be impossible. [This is just one more problem, directly caused by too much of that form of "Liberalism," that is really Socialism in sheep's clothing.]

I love the spin they put on these stories. Ten soldiers? Nah, only three. Shot up the car? Nah, just the rear window. And besides, they were chasing Mexican drug dealers, so it's okay. They shot at a clearly marked INS vehicle manned by uniformed INS officers because they were "antsy". Uh-huh.
Maybe the uniformed Mexican soldiers were the drug dealers, and shot at the INS for this very reason. I doubt that even the Mexican military shoots suspected smugglers on sight, or that it is too "antsy" to tell the difference between a smuggler and an INS officer. Nor does shooting at a fleeing INS vehicle sound like standard policing behavior.
Nice to see that the INS's standard policy when confronted by deadly force is to flee. Makes me less than comfortable knowing that this undermanned agency is all that is "defending" our borders.

Meanwhile, the Bush administration has given up on defending America against suicide bombers.

Time to hold some unannounced National Guard boarder patrols. Give them some real and needed live hunting to do.

The USA hasn't kicked Mexico around since 1848, right? Sounds like they're overdue and are in need of an attitude adjustment.

The agent told him, " "As far as I am concerned, that (incursion) should be an act of war,' " Tancredo said.About time a US lawmaker used those words!

I wouldn't say "war", but a good butt-kicking would be in order.
