Here in NY, I heard on the radio (WCBS 880) 3x this morning a taped report on ongoing government changes.
President Bush in this report was referred to repeatedly as "Mr. Bush" . The piece was read by a reporter
whose name sounded like it was "Nick Allen". I called and complained, someone said they'd tell a producer.
Now, hours later, I found this article on their website where references to "Mr. Bush" are also all over!
Please do your freeper thing and protest if you are so moved. After posting this I will return with phone numbers
and contacts that I can find, all help appreciated.
Thank you.

Watch out. John Adams got in all sorts of trouble over the same issue.

Dan Rather use to do this to President Bush senior. He never called him Mr President or President Bush always MrBush. Jim Lehrer was doing that on 'The News Hour", yet at the same time he referred to ex-president Clinton as President Clinton. It's just a way for them to express their contempt for the man and disrespect to our nation.

Mr. Clinton = 650
President Clinton = 1620

This is fun, did another Google Search on CBS News.com

SP: You have planted the seed from which a major book or Ph.D dissertation could emerge.

I wonder if you confine the terms of your search to the period when the Presidency was filled by each man -
that is to say, X1 date thru Y1 date for Z1, X2 date thru Y2 date for Z2.
I wonder if there would be a larger variance.

In two and a half years there have already been over 1400 more references to President Bush than to Clinton, who was in office two terms?

President Bush is my President, so I will always refer to him by his proper title. Although calling him Mr Bush is not as bad or disrespectful as just by his last name. However **ll shall freeze over before I will refer to #42 as President Clinton or even Mr Clinton

Ping?
To: DaughterofEve
Just a pesky journalistic note: quite often, the first reference will be to "President Bush" and that will be followed by references to "Mr. Bush" or "the President" later on in the article.

Google's advanced search is limited to up to a year or anytime.

They should be honest and use the name they really call him namely Chimpy.

Sure doesn't mean I have to like it!

This will sound crazy, but it's true; I have watched The X-Files since it first aired. When people walked into Assistant Director Skinner's office, there was a prominent photo of Bubba hanging on the wall opposite the door. It was an official portrait as every president has had in past years. On the opposite wall, there was a prominent picture of Janet Reno. After W was elected, not only was no presidential or attorney general portraits seen but, the camera angles changed. After featuring a photo of Bubba and Janet throughout the nineties and then to suddenly change seems to be making a statement, in my opinion.

That's fair. After all, everyone in Massachusetts west of Rt. 495 calls Senator Kennedy "the *sshole."
