I figured that you were a pilot with that excellent info you posted.
Just got back from our 4th of July party and two pilots were at the party. Both are private pilots for CEO's. When they saw the picture and heard that he put the plane into the lake and that it skipped, they both agreed with your thesis. Good Call!

Davis was probably just standing behing him pulling the strings... He must have learned to throw somebody else on the grenade during his service in Vietnam. I just can't believe that guy was a Captain of Infantry.
Does anybody know exactly what he did in Vietnam? We know Big Al Gore sat behind a desk for six months. That is, when he wasn't trying to blow his own head off with an M-16. But what, exactly did Gray Davis do in Vietnam? Does anybody know?

The Israeli Shin Bet is calling it an act of terrorism:

I slowly begin to understand, why Americans don't trust their authorities.(need spell checker!). It's unbelieveble. that they don't know the shooters origien, something is not right there. I still think, it was a nut, fighting his own war!!!!
BTW our daughter (17years old) is on her way home from Auckland/NZ to AL right now. We had the last contact when she called us before boarding. She aid, that her lugguage was turn appart, will arrive in plastic bags in LAX

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but KNBC in LA just reported that the shooter was an Egyptian. They are reporting that the man, who has two aliases and two birthdates listed, was 41 and had been in the US since 1992.

Ok - so you WANT to live in an environment where everything is designed like a fortress?I don't think putting up concrete posts at the entrance is making an airport a fortress. I shop at Best Buy quite often, and they have these posts set up so people can't drive thru the glass doors, steal expensive stuff, then split.
One gunman walking inside will kill a couple of people. A car plowing thru the glass and exploding will kill far more.
