The upshot of this is that the "Governor's School" described here is the educational dream school of both Bill and Hilary Clinton. This is what they and the educational elite have in mind for your children.

I, personally, have experienced something similar to this as well. As any young person would, as soon as I arrived at Governor's School during the summer of 1983, I began to make friends. Because of the immediate attacks upon our religious beliefs, it was not long before I knew the religious faith of my friends, as well as some of their strong convictions. I had friends who were of many different religious backgrounds and some who professed no faith of any kind. Many of then in the first week had told me of their personal faith the God of the Bible, the authority of the written Old and New Testament, and their belief in life after death in either "heaven or hell". After approximately three weeks of anti-Christian propaganda, the majority of my friends had totally changed their whole moral system and world view. Those who had not totally converted to an atheistic, anti-Christian philosophy told me that they were no longer sure of their religious beliefs. I must say that for a few I questioned some of my beliefs as well. I honestly don’t know what you would call an attempt to change the value system of over three hundred children in three weeks, except brainwashing.One incident has remained very clear in my mind because it was so upsetting to me. We had watched a movie of raw footage of Nazi concentration camps and the varied forms of torture and killing and uses of the Jews dead bodies that took place during War World II. The footage was horrific especially for me as a sixteen year old. Later that same day we were told to divide into groups at various locations in order to have group discussions led by an instructor. I was involved in a discussion that took place in the foyer of Rainey Hall led by an man who was not one of my regular teachers. He reminded us of the film we had viewed earlier in the day and asked the question, "If there is an all-loving God, why does He allow things like this to happen? I was the only child in the whole room who would stand up to this man. Before the discussion was over some of the students, who two weeks earlier had professed Christian beliefs, were in my face yelling that there was no god and there was no way there could be one. It is very clear that the curriculum of the program is intended to bring about these results. It is also maliciously discriminating against those who profess orthodox Jewish or orthodox Christian beliefs. It is also apparent that the instructor’s influence was causing students to persecute each other.
Sounds kinda Maoist to me. Gotta love those rascally Clintons. Gov. Bill Clinton said "it would be impossible for me to describe to you just how exciting & unusual this education adventure is." According to one student who attended the Governor's School, Hillary Clinton talked about converting the schools (public schools) into something similar to the Governor's School.
I attended Arkansas Governors' School in 1992 when this was written (while X42 was running for Prez the first time). I don't have time to respond to all this right now, but I will say the truth is somewhere in the middle. The whole thing was slanted hard to the left, but it wasn't really brainwashing. Overall, I'd say it was a positive experience, but there were also obvious problems with the way it was structured.

Child, child, people are the way they act, not the way they intend or think. But of course once you've been programmed to see everything as relative and forbidden to judge anything or anyone etc. People like the Clintons require that mindset in their followers - otherwise they would have been busted years ago.
Those who will not allow themselves to be transformed, will be destroyed rather than risk that child will become a leader for the opposition
This is why I homeschool. I will shield my kids from the mental manipulators until I judge they are strong enough to recognise when someone is attempting mind-control techniques on them, and deal with the attempted controller appropriately

Academy & other members of MSA faculty and staff "Personal and Social Dynamics" ("PSD") is a curriculum put together by the Missouri Scholars Academy ("MSA") and intended to address a number of key developmental issues that teenagers -- especially ones who are "gifted" -- confront in secondary schools, in families, in communities, and in relationships. The fact that Governor's Schools are "residential" schools, where students are part of virtual families and real communities, and, thanks, in part, to the accepting and tolerant environment established by Governors Schools, become involved in a range of both short-term and long-term relationships -- provides an obvious opportunity to see the immediate contexts of the topics raised in PSD. Key to the success of PSD is the teamwork of a "residential assistant" and a "faculty member" who co-facilitate each portion of the curriculum. This NCoGS session will focus on one typical day from the 2002 MSA PSD curriculum but will also allow audience members to understand the overall curriculum.

My name is Chris Yarbrough. I attended Arkansas Governor's School in 1991, my junior year. When I went to Governor's School I went in the area of math. My expectations were to deal strongly in math subjects and to get a preview of what college life was going to be like living in the dorm, what to expect after I graduated from high school. What I found instead of concentrating on the area you were chosen to go in, they concentrated more on psychology and philosophy, and do you exist. I found area one very educational, very fun, which is the area that deals with math. Then you get to Area II, and it is a very common appraisal around the Governor's School that Area II tears you apart and Area III puts you back together. They show such films as "Blade Runner" to go with the tree book and they discuss, 'do you exist?' If you do, prove it. Or are you just a figment of imagination in some supreme being’s mind? Can you prove you are not? Are you really in Governor's School? Are you alive? Is anybody alive, which like the lady said while ago, really gets into deep conversations. We read the meditations of Rene' Descartes which came from the Tree Book. There were other articles from the Tree Book, "certain things Christians cannot do "which implies Christianity is foolish because it states a scenario where if you have a man beating a child to death if you are a Christian you cannot kill him. You cannot protect the child by harming the man or else that makes you not a Christian. It makes it immoral.
Then you get to Area III. Area III is what I refer to as the feeling class. You go there and first they teach you that what you say and do in Area III stays in Area III, very confidential; you can be what you want to be, say what you want; it doesn't matter; nobody is going to think less or more of you. You can be anybody you want to be in there. It is very confidential. My instructor in Area III gained the groups trust (he was a former pastor) and he gained the groups trust by informing the group of an affair he had, an extramarital affair on his wife-he shared with the group. He said that he felt it was okay since it was a physical attraction and that's all. He said there were no feelings involved, just physical. So he gained the group's trust to let them say what you want; it didn't matter it was more freedom than what you needed. We were supposed to read books such as On Lies, Secrets, and Silence. This by a radical lesbian feminist. (Chairman interrupts and asks, "what is the title of that book"). It is On Lies, Secrets, and Silence by Adrienne Rich. And in her quote from the book she is talking about a lady who is an anti-feminist (she is reviewing and critiquing her article) and in it she says "this author is an admirer of the American Society and I am not; that is one difference between us." This book, if someone wanted to read it, have a discussion on it, I would have no problem with that; but as mandatory reading, this is not a book that I would choose to read or would like to read. I agree that they can have readings, but they should let you choose a topic and let you discuss what topic you want to talk about.
After three weeks I left Governor's School midway and did not complete the last three weeks. I was overwhelmed; I felt like my views and my ideas were not represented. I talked to Dr. Haggard after I came back from the break after the first three weeks and I asked him why other views were not represented in lectures. There was one lecture by an animal rights activist, very extreme; and I asked him why there was not somebody with the opposing side to that; that you can't just look at one side of the story and expect us to make a decision on what we believe and what we think. His quote every time I asked him was, 'we usually do; this year we didn't.' I have heard that same thing from people who attended different years. That has gotten to be a catch phrase.
