Amazing tale of four children (and two deadbeat parents)...

I hope these two scummy excuses for parents get the book thrown at them. It is pathetic, not only for the abandoned children, but for childless couples who would have done just about anything to have children of their own to love and care for.

She forwarded a $30 check each week to the children for food, he said.

A whopping 36-cents per kid, per meal. These zunzabitches oughta be hung.

I can't even imagine leaving my 12 year old or my 7 year old alone for a half-day. In fact, I wouldn't leave the 7 year old alone for a minute.

"The indictment alleges that the parents left the four children -- two boys and two girls ages 5, 7, 11 and 13 -- in their Williamsburg home without adult supervision from July 1 to Sept. 19.

"...the children attended Whitley County schools while their parents were away"

This is really weird. How did this go on so long with no one knowing about these kids. The five year old would be in kindergarten (half day), where usually a parent or some other adult would pick up the child at school. And what about school supplies....out of the thirty bucks per week.

First, so there is no misunderstanding my position, these "parents" need to be publicly flogged then sterilized so they won't breed any more kids.

Second, cases such as this are a natural and predictable result of living in a nanny state. The kids probably qualified for and received free breakfasts and lunches at school. They may have even been in a government funded after school program. When the government takes over the role of parent, is it so surprising that some parents think they are not really necessary?

When my kids were that age, I could have left them alone for an extended period of time like that. They would have had no problems at all. Did I do it? HELL NO !!!

What's wrong with those people?
