Most people think that Karl Rove ran the 2000 campaign...and in one sense he did---he was the campaign Manager. But what they don't realize is that Karl actually served under Don Evans, who was the campaign Chairman. Yep u be right.....

Seems like the world desparately wants a bull shit artist like Robert Rubin at Treasury.
Question: Who in the hell couldn't talk up a booming "bubble" economy and stock market?

You should have heard Corzine dancing around about this guy today. He didn't want to say it was a good choice, but he didn't want to dump on the guy either. It was pretty funny...about a solid minute of complete waffling! Yep....that was fun to watch. I didn't know that Corzine was a tap dancer until I watched him on FOX this morning! It was trying so hard not to say.....'a good choice' & yet didn't want to say anything bad about a colleague from Goldman Sachs!

Thanks rintense for the picture.
Ok I know this has nothing to do with it, but please understand that I am a holdover from the "Daily Dose" and I must say, Don Evans is such, and I mean really truly such a HANDSOME MAN. He is awesome to look at and when he speaks it is just as good. Ok I said it, flame me if you want.
I was hearing here in Texas that Phil Gramm was slated for a slot. Did this rumor travel around anywhere else????????

But Parsky would certainly be a highly unpopular choice throughout the GOP...he has hardly made himself dear to our friends in CA.Ah... okay. Parsky...I knew that name sounded familiar. Formerly a big shot in California's "Republican" party? A real "moderate" scumbag who even supported liberal Democrat Richard Riordan's Republican primary campaign? The Parsky who wants to turn California's Republican party into a spineless liberal swill? That Parsky?
Please, Dubya - - keep Parsky in California where he belongs.

Don't discount Goldman, we have some very conservative folks here. Not everyone is Rubin or Corzine.
To: rintense
Yes, that photo seems to say Evans is the guy!

Looks like just the think to use on telemarketers, too.
telemarketer: "Have you considered the benefits of LeafProof brand clog-free raingutters for your house?"
southernnorthcarolina: [whispering] "I must speak quietly. Hold the receiver tightly to your ear. Listen very carefully." BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! WAHWAHWAHAAAAOOOOOAAAHHH!
To: EternalVigilance
My choice is Bill Archer, cause he's been a leader for years in educating folks about why we should junk the current tax system...In his 7(?) yrs as Ways and Means Chairman, other than lip service and adding 800 pages or more to the behemoth current tax system what did he do to fool... errr I mean educate you?
To: woofie
John Baresfoot Tipton.... I had to do a google search on that...cool!
