Turkey Alert: Hollywood Flirts W/ Armegeddon, Again (Churning Ben Affleck)

Not yet out but Coming Very Soon to a Theatre near you.

Coming out shortly is yet another end of the world film from Hollywood. Again, Ben Affleck appears as lead actor in the film which has the US designing a satellite like device meant to create of all things, Earthquakes, so as to defeat our enemies ( we may need this as apparently nearly the whole world hates us).

One must be very careful in divining Hollywood, even during these days of positive sentiment about our country and its righteous mission.

In the movie it would appear that this sattelite goes absolutely haywire (as they often do) or is somehow responsible for creating a senario in which the earth is about to overheat and the earths inner core must be restarted (yes the core has gone cold) using what appear to be nuclear devices (whoa). This devise, ala that which helped destroy an asteroid when we last saw Ben doing a similar thing, will be sent into the very center of the planet.

This may be another Earth First promo, a rant against using weapons in outer space, or blowing up famous US landmarks.

Whatever the case, beware that Hollywood has an escatological(end of the world) bent and is not at all optomistic about our species.

After all, who can blame them when all they see in a world like theirs, with endless backstabbing, politics in boardrooms, casting couch sessions, and anotherwise bleak landscape which is littered with the likes of Mariah carey, Micheal Jackson, Nick Nolte, Charlie Sheen, and a growing list of those destroyed by an industrry that has surpassesd Wall Street in its Darwinian excesses.

Anyway, such are the times when ticket prices are high ( matinee at the price of a ticket just 3-5 years ago),a small popcorn and a drink cost $6.25 and when the faves of Hollywood, like Affleck, are continually churned and milked until the next pretty and younger face comes along or an elder in the Church of Scientology ( using the same mother ship as used by the Nation of Islam)takes his or her place.

I prefer the real movie now playing and that is how we save Holloywood from me, you and itself, keep America strong and otherwise keep the human species going for generations to come. I know Tom Cruise is now looking forward to cloning himself, and hopefully with about as much success as the Romulans.

Has anyone one a clue about how "well" the "Aflak's" movie did compared to previous "Clancy" stories?

Saw the sum of all fears two nights ago. In my mind, it was the least entertaining of the Clancy stories. I thought Ben A. should have had a greater role as jack ryan. Also, generally speaking, the more sequels made to a great movie, the less entertaining they are, or so it seems.

All this time I thought the duck was doing voiceovers for Gilbert.

Ben the wannabe actor and Hollybooh are getting worse; but, our need to be entertained has become such, that the majority of viewers is no longer discriminate in what they watch. We are now happy to spend our valuable time watching a mediocre film, because "it's one of the best".
