Whoever said that the university stands as a pillar of civilization has obviously never been to Arizona State. Arizona's public universities, now infamous for their broad progressive curricula composed of subjects to the likes of queer pulp fiction, postmodern pornography and special workshops on "sex workers," have always been a string of lone islands surrounded by a reality that remains alien to the hermitic Marxists lying within their academic workings....(snip)

Let see if I got this right; someone is upset our universities are havens for politically correct, left-wing, liberal, wack-jobs?? Also, that these self-same idiots are trying their best to brainwash this idiocy into their students??
As someone once said "stupid is as stupid does".
Glad they finally caught on. W.K.

This guy knew. Last year, right after 9-11, there was an article about Shahbandar. He hung an American flag in the student lounge in recognition of the fact that war had been declared on America and in honor of those who died. The flag was torn down by the university officials!
But Shahbandar doesn't give up, it seems. He's still fighting, right there in the lion's den, for American principles.
To: WaterDragon
Isn't it really too bad that we find these things out long after the fact? Maybe we can still avenge our Conservative friend and Freep the living daylights out of the University.

"But Shahbandar doesn't give up, it seems. He's still fighting, right there in the lion's den, for American principles."I wish him the best of luck, he'll need it. There are too few who will stand up and fight back.

Great, send our kids to these fine institutions, and have them march out as goose stepping little commie America haters.
Makes me want to scream.

He mentions inviting Dinesh D'Souza to the university to speak to his group of conservative students. Dinesh, David Horowitz, and a slew of other conservatives are also fighting this battle against the Left-controlled universities. (Dinesh's latest book, a really great one, is "Letters to a Young Conservative.")
It's amazing, but there are groups of these conservative students at many of the universities, fighting their own war every day, not willing to be silenced, tolerating censureship, intimidation, and even violence. They don't get much recognition, that's for sure.
I love the idea of FReeping the heck out of Arizona State for denying this young man his Constitutional rights!

That's the great thing....there are growing numbers of students who aren't letting themselves be turned into little Leftie robots!

But when they do, the commissars sick the politik korrekt kampus polizei on them.

I wish
all students were like Oubai Shahbandar, instead of the Marxist thugs he has to deal with at the disgusting den of stupidity known as Arizona State.
Mr. Shahbandar is a first-class American in my book. The blurb at the end of the article says it all:
Oubai Shahbandar is one of the nation's leading young conservative activists and currently a senior studying philosophy and political science at Arizona State University. He currently holds the proud distinction of being the first and only conservative student activist barred by his respective university from holding or running for any student government office.
God bless him!

I love the idea of FReeping the heck out of Arizona State for denying this young man his Constitutional rights! I'm certain that those who are responsible for this have e-mails and fax numbers. Perhaps they need to hear from us.

If I see any more TV adds from the ACLU with the statue of liberty in the background, while being the last people to fight for this hero, I'm going to gag.
To: winner3000
I haven't seen those. I need to see them. I could use the caloric loss.
To: WaterDragon
If you look at the complete article, at the end there is an E-mail where one can write this student and give support. He deserves it.
To: WhiteKnight
It's time for good Americans to take back America!

My son (a high school senior ) just took a test in one of his classes which classified them by political orientation. He scored a five, which made him "very conservative". His teachers comment "Gee it's unusual to find a high school student this conservative" ( unstated " what the hell did we do WRONG????)

He hung an American flag in the student lounge in recognition of the fact that war had been declared on America and in honor of those who died. The flag was torn down by the university officials! If he had instead hung a big picture of a pink triangle the officials would've left it up....guaranteed. Make no mistake, these university Marxist types are every bit as much the enemy as Al Qaeda. They both desire exactly the same thing: The complete destruction of America and the principles and liberties American patroits of all eras have fought and died for.

Only when alumni defund wretched places like this "school" will they change their tune. If alums do not, then they deserve what they get.
