Prenious to 1973 homosexuality was listed in the diagnostic manuals and texts as a serious mental disorder. It was delisted although about 70% of psychiatrists still beleived it to be a mental disorder. In successive years and generations increasingly few mental health professionals accept it as a disorder as sales movements from the media and homosexual liberation fronts have taken hold.

Most arguments for or against homosexual rights hinge on whwther or not homosexual9ity is viewed a form of pathology.

It was done in the '70s. Mental disorders are recognized and classified in The American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders which is rewritten, revised, and republished periodically. I have a copy of the second edition DSMII which I keep for historical reasons, in front of me. Homosexuality is listed as 302.0 in sexual deviations. In the '70s it was stricked as a disorder over enormous protest within the profession.

Very good article. I am visiting my oldest son near D.C. He and his wife have become friends with a homosexual couple that he works with. He wanted to debate me on the issue. He first wanted to argue that he doesn't believe it is sin. I just went right to much of what written in this article. He had to agree with me. They are no more born to this sick lifestyle then pedifiles, or perverts who desire animals.

As far as animals go I am not aware of any science that shows those statistics other than the correlation’s between associated paraphilic disorders. Did you bump your head before you wrote this? Exactly how can there be bigotry for a behavior Forest? If that were true then I’m a soccer bigot. And if ‘big words’ are such a challenge for you then perhaps you should confront those demons and try some word therapy.

As far as “hate” goes, can you point out where the author makes this clear? A simple reading of the article gives details for DEFEATING THE ARGUMENT that perversion is sane behavior and not some avarice for any particular individual. It’s about hating the behavior, not the person. GET IT?

If gayness were "science" then it would have evolved the same way other traits have evolved. Gay's should have physical genital characterists different than heteros -- accomodating the brain and behavioral differences. No amount of wanting anal sex to be equal transforms the anus into a sex organ. It is NOT science.
