I've got plenty of MRE's lying around I could send for the contest. But I don't know if they would qualify as food.

Hmm...Pardon my ignorance - MREs?

Meals
Ready to
Eat.
A pre-Packaged meal that the military serves their troops. My daughter loves them, but then again I think she just weird. lol, Everyone around here has their own personal favorites. + there are quite a few makeshift recipies that one can create out of MRE's. Like Ranger Pudding. 4 envelopes of coco to about a half cup water, heated. etc etc.
Technical Description; MRE's (which are pronounced as separate letters: M,R,E's) are ready-to-eat meal kits. The name MRE comes from their military description: Meals, Ready-to-Eat. Developed for soldiers in combat conditions, these meals are already cooked and moist. No finding water, boiling water or waiting for re-hydration. Great tasting, (huh????) long shelf life and always in high demand and short supply whenever disaster strikes.

MRE = Meal Ready to Eat military rations. You can get them at surplus stores for about $4.00 ( at least that's what they used to cost) You can get a pack of chemical heaters for the entree too. You just add a little water, and the pack gets hot, stuff the entree in and presto, hot "food" They come in a tough little brown plastic bag and include desert, maybe some 20 year old apple sauce or such, some candy or gum, matches, drink mix, some tp and other little goodies. I kind of like them. Some are not bad at all and you never know what you will find inside. Kinda like adult Cracker Jacks but I think MREs last longer.

My daughter loves themI agree with her. I used to take them with me when I was out working in the boondocks. They make great hot lunches.

Good description, by the way

Well, I guess I should be honest. At least alittle. I love the Pork Chow Mien. But beyond that not much else. But the new ones? Like the burrito? No thanks. Now if we could just get them to bring back Chicken A'la King, minus the beak a friend once found in it.
And since I am being honest, the "technical descript" was pure plagiarism.

And since I am being honest, the "technical descript" was pure plagiarism. You never should have fessed up since you already had gotten away with it. ;)
I liked the rice and pork but I havn't tried the new ones. Never cared for beak much though.

He could ALWAYS relocate down here. There is a severe need for internet gurus.
'course, the pay may not be what he's used to. But there's food growing off the trees. Beats the hell outta mustard
Meega, Nala Kweesta!
