Clinton says he was 'demonized' on health care

Former President Bill Clinton yesterday said he had been "demonized" for trying to change the nation's health care system, and called for an attempt to find a "bipartisan solution" to improve health care in the country.

"I think it's quite interesting that the worst congressional losses that the Democrats suffered in the last 60 years was the midterm for Harry Truman and my first midterm, and it both happened after we tried to fix health care and we were demonized" for trying to have the government pay for it, Mr. Clinton said.

President Clinton cited the great success of the Canadian system of holding down costs by having the United States treat patients needing state of the art care, Mexican patients for NAFTA's ability to get them to the United States where they can get mandated care, and English medical system where anyone over 70 is written off as a lost cause.

"A piece in my time is my motto!" Clinton said with obvious gusto, until an aide whispered in his ear.

"You sure," quietly! "I promise to you that I will leave no intern unstoned, 'til I find a way of not inhaling. And you can take that to the bank. My account is..."

When will we be given peace, and have that Jack*** off the air, except when he is giving something back to the community. Which will be never?

The Canadian health care system is a disaster, literally killing Canadians. Ask any one of them about the lineups at the emergency wards.

The tragedy is that Canadian taxes are among the highest on earth, in large part to pay for this bureaucratic nightmare. Socialists will never learn that giving your money to the government to buy a service you can buy directly always ends up costing you much more for much less.

Ask any Canadian, and they will tell you it takes up to a year to access advanced diagnostics like MRI's. Surgeries, even for urgent items, are scheduled months and months in advance.

Because Socialists do what is right for the state, and not the individual, there is a strong suspicion that economic triage is at work. That is, keeping a marginal patient alive is not economically in the best interest of the country - so better to pull the plug on Grandma.

Anyone in Canada who has cancer is advised to seek treatment in the United States if they want to stay alive.

Universal health care is an unmitigated disaster, a financial wasteland, and gives the state control over your very life.

This is the Clintonian world he offers to America. Are you buying?

Is he demonized? The Son of Satan formerly known as president is the epitome of evil, in my opinion. Call him out at every opportunity.

Imagine that, a demon being upset about being refered to as a demon.

I hope you have not mistaken me for a Clinton apologist. Canadian health care is in ruins. English health care is in ruins. Australian healthcare is in ruins. No socialized healthcare system runs well.

When someone asks me about this, I ask for a working model first. No crazy experimentation on what you hope or theorize will work. No one has good answers.

I'm not buying, but unfortunately, I may not be given the choice.

You're a wise one to pass along warnings against socialized health care.

Telling every American the truth is a daunting task, but it must be done before it is too late.

Every life is precious. The state is evil and cannot be trusted to care about the life of you and your loved ones.

Bipartisanship isn't what brought down "his" healthcare reform. It was his bipresidency.

During his scampaign, he and his wife said that it would be a "two for one" deal but then when she was assaulted with questions, the press was quieted down for being so hard on a potential first lady; that she wasn't the one running for election, her husband was.

When they got elected, she assumed co-presidency roll and orchestrated closed door discussions on health care (all the while her portfolio traded in medical stocks, even if it was "blind trust").

Details leaked out about the program such as paying your doctor for treatment would have been akin to paying someone for sex. Can't have a 2 tier system where some people can afford to pay for treatment and others cannot; dumb it all down to the lowest common denomenator and tough it out. Enough people yelled, "Not in my America."

You ain't far off the mark. Our health care system is going downhill. Good luck getting an MRI....my dad had a severe case of sciatica recently, all he could have was a catscan. To get the catsan in a week instead of a month...I had to sweet-talk the cow of a nurse at the front desk.

I have spoken with doctors in this country, and almost all of them are deeply disgruntled at the whole mess. And yes we pay a ton in taxes....which is wasted. You do not want our health system imported down there. Socialised health care is only for the poor....do something for them only.

Speaking of which, ask any Canadian how helpful Clinton was to Canada's health. He was very concerned about shipping blood over there. Of course, he had a friend making a lot of money for doing it. It led to thousands of Canadians catching a lethal virus.

The government is not in the insurance business. This is a very large boondoggle waiting to happen. And look at this: middle-income people with high credit-card debt,. Are we now suppose to reward people for going into debt? Being fiscally responsible is a punishment? Who in the hell thinks up these ideas?

Well Bill sent his Wife out in charge of this goal and she ends up pushing for socialized medicine.
The public tells them both to stick this idea where the sun don't shine and somehow this wasn't their fault either.
Even recently in Oregon this idea again flopped with socialized medicine.

Those two constantly act (Bill and Hillary), like irresponsible children.
Nothing that turns out bad is ever their fault.
But if every cat in America pooped a 24K Gold egg tomorrow morning, those two would be on TV taking credit for it.
They are both pathetic. Empty suits of the highest degree.

KT, NAH! People merely made comment on his actions and proposals. it is bill clinton that demonizes bill clinton. With a little help from his spouse. Peace and love, George.

The first thing Bill Clinton did on taking office was to raise taxes on the middle class. The second thing Clinton did was to centralize one seventh of the nation's economy under Hillary's watch. And he has the nerve to criticize his successor for being un-Clinton. I think that's really a virtue, not a liability and the last thing we need is a lecture on public policy from The Great Impeached.

Cripes. All this is missing is the requisite lip-biting (his own, this time) followed by "...ah've never worked harder in mah lahf than win ah trad to save this country's hailth care......"
