Chinese MIRV Test Successful
Yonhap News via JoongAng Ilbo ^ | 02/08/03 | N/A

Posted on 02/07/2003 7:14:07 PM PST by TigerLikesRooster

Yomiuri Shimbun of Japan reported in its Beijing dispatch on Feb. 8, 2003 that China successfully conducted the MIRV test on December, 2002, using Dong-Feng 21.

The report quoted Chinese sources as saying, "The missile launch test was conducted in mid-December last year at a PLA strategic missile base in Shaxi province, and MIRV technology was apparently employed."

This is apparently the first Chinese success of the MIRV missile test.

China is making feverish efforts to counter American Missile Defense technology and this shows that they made a meaningful progress, the paper reports.

China could not deploy MIRV missiles right away right after this successful test. But They could improve its accuracy and try to push for the early deployment of the missiles, the report adds.

It is a very plausible scenario to say China first MIRVed to counter US missile sheild... and sensing the threat India is planning on being able to reach out and touch the heart of Beijing....

The Columbia has little or no impact on DoD related missions. Those have been using unmanned flights for years. (Less fanfare, fewer questions.) Also, much of this space based offensive weaponry can be launched using a very plentiful booster: The Minuteman II.

Norman: yes, a BIG Bob Grant fan.

Captain, a few more BG's paraphrases:

"How would you like me to come over and punch your dummy nose down your dummy throat, huh?"

"In the hope that as American citizens you have a right to hear and to beeeeee heaaaaaard."

An old one but still applicable: "Get Gheddafy! Get him noooow!"

"Tell me where are you from? I mean, what country did you come from?" To which upon hearing the name of the country Bob would say: "I'm sorry to hear that."

"Closing the lid on things for tonight, folks. Until tomorrow everyone." "Remember your influence counts. Uuuuuuse it!"

The former President Clinton surely redefined our national security.

Thanks Bill Clinton. It takes a traitor to like you to wipe the American flag with the blood of the saints. But those saints won't die in vain. God is watching you and will avenge his wrath on you and others like yourself.

After cleaning up both Iraq and North Korea during his first term, once GWB is re-elected we just might see the Attorney General reopen the Clinton files to see how many skeletons fall out of that closet.

Personally, I'd like to see (firsthand)the Clintons getting the same treatment that the Mussolinis did at the end of WWII. Carville and Mc Awful as well.

I understand that they call this variety of MIRVed ballistic missile the "Bent-dong" in honor of their benefactor.

They used to do that to those who betrayed this Country. Starting with judges on down.

Here are some "friends" of Bill:

1. "Tiger Trap"
--Gwo Bao Min, Livermore engineer who gave PRC W-70 neutron bomb plan for possible use against Taiwan and/or Soviet motorized rifle division on Sino-Soviet border.
--Min was born 1939, Taiwan National University (1962), Livermore's D Division-studies military use of nuclear weapons
--lives in Danville, CA, runs Grand Monde Trading, also known as "Ko Pau Ming"
--new PRC DF-31 ICBM is based on W-70 design

2. "Royal Tourist"
--Peter Lee, world-class diagnostician at Lawrence Livermore & Los Alamos
--spied for PRC from mid-1980's to 1997 (arrested)
--possibly provided top secret codes used to conduct warhead explosions simulations on supercomputers
--admitted passing diagnostic techniques used at Nevada Test Site
--gave antisubmarine warfare secrets (where to filter surface ship wake data/graph to locate vessel wake)

3. "Kindred Spirit"
--Wen Ho Lee, born Taiwan, hydrodynamicist & engineer, Los Alamos' X Division, most secret part of lab dealing with nuclear arms info, from 1980-1998
--wife Sylvia, from Hunan prov., computer technician at Los Alamos from 1980-1995
--hugged Hu Side, father of PRC nuclear weapons, at Los Alamos in 2/94
--full dirty on this traitor provided by Notra Trulock's new book, "Code Name Kindred Spirit: Inside the Chinese Nuclear Espionage Scandal"

Two recent arrests:

1. Qing Chang Jiang, also known as Frank Jiang, appeared in a San Jose federal court on charges he sold technology to a company in PRC known as "The 54th Research Institute." that had both commercial and military applications. The devices in question are microwave amplifiers, sometimes used in commercial enterprise but also employed in the design of missile guidance systems. Qing was being held without bail based on the prosecutions contention that he poses a danger to his community and is a flight risk. Chief Magistrate Judge Patricia V. Trumbull sat a detention hearing for 1/16/03. Qing faces a maximum statutory penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

2. Fei Ye & Ming Zhong (a PRC national with US permanent residency) arrested on 11/23/02 at SFO on trip to Shanghai with documents in Ye’s luggage pertaining to Transmeta consisted of four compilations of Transmeta confidential and proprietary documents. . . . The compilations included circuit and component layout design schematics. All of the documents were labeled ‘Transmeta Corporation —Confidential and Proprietary.’" The materials in Ye’s luggage included "schematic drawings" of a Sun microchip. The drawings were marked "Sun Proprietary." Also included was a manual that "describes how to build" two other Sun chips. "All the documents in the manual are marked ‘Sun Proprietary Need-to-Know.’" The two were arrested at the airport and later released on bail.

Time for America to wake up and smell the stink coming from that yellow land.

Let's add a little more detail: the side that has downloaded its missiles to a single warhead apiece has 500 ICBMs, and the side going for MIRVing has 100 missiles. Additionally, the side with the 500 missiles also has 432 submarine-based missiles...with 6-8 MIRVs apiece, BTW. Who ya gonna bet on?

Obviously the US has by far the advantage when it comes to nukes when you compare us to China. The US has the advantage in both quality and quantity, plus also in capacity and ease of delivery. And whether or not China got MIRVed to its wazoo and the US had single re-entry vehicles the US would still hold the trump card.

However with that said it is not a good thing when countries like China get MIRVs. My logis is as follows: Let's say my neighbor was a sour-puss and had a murderous tendency of trying to kill anyone living next to him! However let us say the only weapons he had were slingshots and stones .....while i myself packed AR-15s. I obviously have a substantial advantage over the oaf! However let us say i heard he was 'upgrading' to bows and arrows! I still have an advantage, but i would still not be happy since even though his arsenal is inferior to mine he has a greater probability of hurting me with an arrow than with a pebble! Hence even though we still have the upper hand on China their getting MIRV tech should not be laughed at. It is a positive step on their part.

As for Clinton even without him it wouldhave been just a matter of time before China achieved MIRV missiles. And in the next 2 decades i expect several other nations to also get a Eureka moment! If anything the worst Clinton did was cut down the time the Chinese would have spent doing it by themselves (although in my book that is still high-treason and there is no excuse for that).

It reminds me of when the Soviets stole US thermonuclear tech by planting a spy in the US H-bomb project. Experts say that all that spying did was cut one year from the time it would have taken for the Soviets to test their first H-bomb .....but still one year cut is still time off (and i believe the spy was executed as a traitor).

And as Tom Clancy wrote: I fear the guy with one nuclear bomb more than a guy with several (obviously i paraphrase).

A nation trying to get many nukes is trying for a strategy of deterrence by using the implicit threat of 'do anything and i have enough nukes to make it hurt you too.'

Usama just needs one nuke, and if he got it it would not be for deterrence but for immediate use (which is why i always say Usama does not have a nuke ...because if he had one and had an effective way of bringing it to the US, he would have done that).

As for China they shoudl never have gotten this tech, but even without Clinton they still would have (it probably would have taken them an extra decade or so). Clinton should be tried for treason ....but that will probably never happen (he will carry bad stigma for the rest of history, but he probably will not get the law upon him as he deserves).

Of course I know that even at one warhead per ICBM we still have a significant strategic advantage over those clowns, MIRVed as they may be. But I still don't like the idea of downgrading our nuclear arsenal, especially in a world that seems to have gone MAD (as it were).

We won't have any advantage for long. Bush just last year slashed our nuclear arsenal by something like 66% How long will it be before there are further reductions?

The brutally-invading, conquering, colonizing, enslaving and mass-murdering, medieval, predatory pack of Peking-based, psychopathological, lying, looting, thieving gangster bastards that calls itself "china" never fails to demonstrate to the world the Psychpathological Projection Syndrome [Invented and first diagnosed here on FRee Republic!] from which it suffers terminally -- and by way of which it never fails to display its hideously hesperophobic fears and failings -- and its ever-more Evil intentions.

As it does here by claiming it << "... is making feverish efforts to counter American Missile Defense Technology .... >> -- despite that America's "Defense Technology" is aimed only at defending America and the rest of the FRee World -- against attacks being schemed at by Baghdad's butcher boys, by Libya's loonies, by Syria's baby bashers, by al-qeada's querilous queers, by North Korea's dopy dipshit and by that gormless gang's Peking-based principle ally: the brutally-invading, conquering, colonizing, enslaving and mass-murdering, medieval, predatory pack psychopathological, lying, looting, thieving gangster bastards that calls itself "china!"

Wen Ho Lee was one traitor of opportunity among dozens.

But Bill Clinton opened the doors to the vaults for them, deliberately.
