Chirac" If U.S. Attacks Iraq, We Are Out Of War On Terror"

Boy, this is sure good news for Osama and company. "Hey, guys, let's go to Paris and set up shop."

Don't be surprised if public opinion and government officials in France start to turn against Chirac. This statement is beyond all reason.

Once upon a time (allegedly) in a nice little forest, there lived an orphaned bunny and an orphaned snake. By a surprising coincidence, both were blind from birth.

One day, the bunny was hopping through the forest, and the snake was slithering through the forest, when the bunny tripped over the snake and fell down. This, of course, knocked the snake about quite a bit.

"Oh, my," said the bunny, "I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I've been blind since birth, so, I can't see where I'm going. In fact, since I'm also an orphan, I don't even know what I am."

“It's quite OK," replied the snake. "Actually, my story is much the same as yours. I, too, have been blind since birth, and also never knew my mother. Tell you what, maybe I could slither all over you, and work out what you are, so at least you'll have that going for you."

"Oh, that would be wonderful" replied the bunny. So the snake slithered all over the bunny, and said, "Well, you're covered with warm soft fur; you have really long ears; your nose twitches; and you have a soft cottony tail. I'd say that you must be a bunny rabbit."

"Oh, thank you! Thank you," cried the bunny, in obvious excitement. The bunny suggested to the snake, "Maybe I could feel you all over with my paw, and help you the same way that you've helped me."

So the bunny felt the snake all over, and remarked, "Well, you're cold to the touch, smooth and slippery, and you have a forked tongue and no backbone. I'd say you must be French".

"The root of this whole mess is demographics."

Agreed, but I think it goes deeper than that. All involved see an opportunity to build their own coalition to advance their own separate causes. The main players are Russia and China. We're talking long term goals here and China (especially) would like nothing less than to see a weakened U.S. They don't give a rat's arse about Iraq except that Saddam, in this case, is the "useful idiot".

I guess that means that they will not investigate, or take any actions to protect themselves from terrorism either? They obviously believe that terrorism only affects the US, so they are doing us a favor by "being in on" the WOT.

I think that we would be better off without them anyway.

partner on the war on terror

America wasn't in the War on Terrorists either until they were attacked by terrorists. In or out isn't an option this time, Vichy.

There are only two sides in the war on terror. "Either you're with us, or you're with the terrorists" Choose wisely worm Chirac.

We'll fly over your cesspool of a country whether you let us or not. Send a couple of your Mirage fighters up and see if they can stay out of each other's way long enough to get shot down. Then you can go complain to the UN - asshole. And the UN won't be in NYC either.

"Post #322 - Looking further - apparently this nuclear reactor was destroyed in 1981."

By Israel. Go here for a good summary from the Israeli point of view. The link opens in a new window. It's a flash presentation of the destruction of the Tammuz I reactor sold to Saddam with the blessing of his buddy, Sheikh Chirac.

now boys and girls we are going to play a really fun game called: "Who can splash the mirage, before the pilot surrenders?"

It is a real challenge...

Then we can play "who can sink the aircraft carrier with the flight deck that is too short?" followed by "guess the crush depth on a french hulled submarine, with nukes on board?"

the war with france should be very very interesting.
of course they have sent their nuclear technology into all their proxy "hate america" states. FRANCE must be crushed.

"This means France will willingly harbour terrorists and protect the funding of terror groups."

Fine and that would place them officially on the "or you're with the terrorists" side of Dubya's famous either/or.

Yeah, it's not like it would be a big loss, not being able to buy most cd's.

Seriesly, though, if people stopped purchasing French products, and certain things became temporarily unavailable, I am certain that American entrepreneurs might soon fill the gap, that is if they weren't interfered with by government subsidies or something.

What do you mean "will?" I thought they already were.

Chirac" If U.S. Attacks Iraq, We Are Out Of War On Terror"

Doesn't this statement IMPLY that France actually understands that this Iraq "thing" is a part of the WAR ON TERROR? And doesn't it IMPLY that they are FOR and plan to be ON the OTHER SIDE?

Maybe Chirac will volunteer to be a human shield (OH that would be too good wouldn't it?)
