So does this mean that France will support the terrorists now? If so, when do we bomb them? Bombing won't be necessary.
Just put a sheet over your head and yell "Boo!".

Secretary of State Madeleine Albright wasted no time denouncing Senator Jesse Helms' address to the UN. Using an opportunity to meet with the UN Security Council, Secretary Albright sought to smooth ruffled feathers among her former colleagues.
"Let me be clear," she said. "Only the president and the executive branch can speak for the United States." - Secretary of State Madeline Albright, Jan. 2000

What's that, Maddie?! You think President Bush and his administration are the only ones who should be speaking for the United States? How sensible of you.

hope all is well with you, BeforeISleep....is this not incredible about Chirac? Can the hole he's digging get any deeper? Can the chasm between our countries get any wider? What shameful people they are, truly disgraceful and shameful......I was always taught to think of others as you would your own family.....if that person were your mother, sister, brother, uncle, would you want some stranger to just stand there and watch them get killed/raped/robbed, or help them? Then, learn to treat others the way you want yourself and family members to be treated. The French are despicable.

I do not know if he is in love with Saddamm or not....but I do know this. He is desperately trying to hide something. I mean something HUGE!!! He is destroying a 200+ year relationship for a tyrant. He just may be sitting in the docket at the Hague before you know it. I think Chirac is very worried what the U.S.A. will find in Bagdad. The complicity of the French and German Governments with Saddam will be proven beyond a doubt and Chirac's political life will be ruined. The icing on the cake will be if there is proof that Clinton refused to take Osama bin Laden from the Sudanese was because he was being blackmailed by enemies of the U.S. Certainly China had enough dirt on Clinton to force him to approve the transfer of militarily significant technology to the PRC.

I agree, there has just got to be something here...I don't care how against this war France is, there gets to be a point where it goes beyond reason. Every time I think they've hit the bottom, they find a way to go lower!

France has been actively involved in the war on terror: They've been providing cash, weapons, and technology to the "bad guys." The simple fact is that they are following their old standard of appeasment: Remember, France COULD have stopped Hitler in the early 1930s, when Hitler militarized the Rhineland. France was far stronger than Hitler's Germany at the time, and if France would have done anything, at least 20 million lives would have been spared, and WWII would never have been fought. Hitler knew it, but he gambled (and won) that France would do nothing. Mark

I have to believe thatthe U.S. hasa plan to neutralize Saddam's chemical and biological weapons before they can be used on American troops. If Saddam does use them, it will be conclusive proof that even Blix and the French can't deny that he actually does have WMD.
