Just wanted to pass on the info. Obviously the "gun to the head" theory goes out the window with this one.

No bias here. (HEAVY SARCASM!!)

Col. Hunt on Fox just suggested we let MSNBC know we will boycott that channel until Arnett is gone. He also called Arnett a son of a b****.

I don't think I'll be watching, but thought I'd pass on the info for those with strong stomachs.

He will have a "gun to the head" if he ever comes near my house....a double-barreled rifle, and then---BLAMMO!

I must admit to (evil) thoughts last night of hoping he was still in the ministry of communications when it was bombed.
Ya know.... we can see how movie stars can side with Sadam, they have no brains and only think they are being fashionably compassionate. But Arnett should know better! And as far as I am concerned he's no longer an American! I cancelled subscription to National Geographic and told them why.

Arnett "went native" a long time ago.

Seriously, what is different between Arnett and Tokyo Rose? Nothing, except Tokyo Rose served time and Jimmy Carter pardoned her.
To: PBRSTREETGANG
They called him Pink Peter in Viet Nam! Gone over to the other side long ago.

I can imagine the helpful "questions" which will be asked by Katie or Matt so Arnett can redeem himself.
- "Don't you think it's important to keep the lines of communication open with Iraq?
- Shouldn't journalists be free to state their opinions? Isn't that what the first amendment is all about?
- Aren't our soldiers fighting in another country for people to have the freedom to speak their minds?
- Isn't it true that no chemical weapons have been uncovered in Iraq?
- Haven't you had a working relationship with the Iraqis, based on mutual respect/trust?
- Isn't it important for the world to get some indication of the thinking of the Iraqi higher-ups?
- Aren't you in a good position, based on extensive experience, to say that most Iraqis are peace-loving individuals?
- Don't you think the US activities in Iraq will lead to more resentment among the peace-loving Muslims of the whole world?
- Etc, ad nauseam

Don't watch it! Don't allow your television to even linger on any NBC station until they denounce what he said and dump him!
To: dawn53
He's been fired and is on Today Show apologizing.

I just tried to watch NBC in the run-up to their Arnett interview.
Lauer tried to get the widow of one of the soldiers killed in the suicide homocide bombing to knock the war and seemed disappointed when she wouldn't go there.
That's all I could take. F the lot of 'em.

Yack! I missed the part about him being fired.
I am, however, listening to his driveling apology.

No doubt that Perky Katie will be kissing his treasonous arse.

He is being denounced--he is canned. Congress spoke out against him.
Now he is talking about moving to a small uninhabited island in the Pacific. Those poor natives!
He is calling himself stupid.
