Below is a transcript of what was said about Peter Arnett between Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade, Col. David Christian, and Lauren Green. E.D. Hill is also included later on in the transcribe. This is great!
Doocy: We don't know that he was working for them, but it sounded almost as like he was working with them.
Lt Col David Christian: Its treason. Bottom line is that its unbelieveable to have an American reporter in the middle of combat. We have Americans dead killed. We've got American POWS men and women in the middle of combat . An American reporter who was fired from CNN for talking about special forces guys in Laos dropping Sarin gas on ourselves which was a lie then. The only thing that redeems him is maybe he is working for us and its a disinformation campaign, but barring anything like that cut his Visa he stays!! Never come back! Have a nice day!!
Lauren: How could he know what the overall war plan is? To know that they are changing it? Isn't this just his speculation?
Col: Speculation be damned! This guy is an American citizen! You don't do what he did! He can go on that television and say stuff, but not what he just did! He could talk to that minster about how's the war going how do your soldiers feel? But you don't say "Oh by the way you've beaten us, the war plans are terrible, and Bush is an idiot"
Doocy: Peter Arnett by the way is from New Zealand by the way. Just FYI
Col: Well then his green card gets cut! I mean I don't care what you do to him besides give him a hairpiece! This is terrible!
Kilmeade: Well I agree. You know what the more I see it the more outraged I get as an American citizen. Here is what NBC said they say essentially "Peter Arnett gave outstanding reporting from Iraq, and he was just trying to do nothing more than give an anaylitical response to a interviewer's question.
Col: Take that little lever on the back of the toilet and you pull it down. You flush him, NBC, and everybody around him. This is unbelievable! Unbelievable! In the middle of combat! You've got guys dying!
Doocy: Foxnews was asked whether or not we would allow one of our correspondants to be interviewed by Iraqi television during combat. We responded absolutely not. Some might say maybe there was a guy off camera with a gun to his head and thats why he was talking like that.
Col: No. Sorry but this is outrageous! No Way! Outrageously poor judgement! This is treason!
Kilmeade: I happened to catch him on the air last week, and he was asked "Peter are you inhibited like you were last time in 1991, and he responded no I'm not, I can walk around the city without minders"
Col: We need to pin Arnett to NBC. Wherever NBC goes put a picture of that bald headed son of a bitch on top of them. This is unbelievable! This clown is talking to somebody as if we have a failed campaign! We've got people dying!
Lauren: One of the things that really strikes me is that he has violated a rule of journalism. He became the subject of the interview. He is stating things that he doesn't have any information about.
Col: He broke every rule in the book.
Lauren: But also he is also reporting from the fact that he has many Iraqi friends who are from a certain kind of I guess a social class. So he is not reporting from the fair and balanced side of this. The Shiite Muslims.
Doocy: Thats fair to say! (Doocy Chuckles) This is the same guy who reported last week that the United States uses cluster bombs on civilians. Which was another fabrication.
Col: Another lie. I mean New Zealanders are fabulous soliders by the way its a great country, but everybody produces an idiot. This guy is proof that aliens landed somewhere in New Zealand. (Lauren laughs hysterically)
Lauren: I think this has enflamed a lot of people. Especially here in the United States.
Doocy: Oh listen Nobody will watch MSNBC as long as this guy is on.
Col: Put his face on every NBC advertisement.
Doocy: Thanks for joining us colonel. Now lets go to a real correspondant. Steve Harrigan. He joins us live.....
Fast Forward to the next hour...I transcribed the brief talk about Arnett....
Hill: We will go live to the Cent Com briefing in just a few minutes. Of course you really don't have to listen to Cent Com. You could just listen to Peter Arnett. We will tell you about the crazy things he has been saying. This is an American citizen who is making treasonous statements. We will let you decide, and hear his words right out of his mouth.
Doocy: It will be interesting to see how long NBC keeps that guy on the air.
Hill: Its a disservice to them. This guy is a nitwit!
Kilmeade: Wasn't that guy tracking leopards?
Hill: I have no idea. Lets go to Cent Com.
Cent Com Briefing Ends... Fox and Friends promotes the Patriotic Pictures Campaign.
Kilmeade: Show your patriotism. (Brian mentions something about the anti-war protestors having nothing better to do because none of them have jobs)
Hill: We know a lot of the forces watch Foxnews. Its important for their morale. And because they do see all the those photographs and video's of the protestors. They need to know the vast majority of Americans do support them. We would be very proud and pleased to convey to them your support.
Doocy: Be sure it is a copy of your photo. We won't be able to send them back. We would love to show them, and share it with them.
Kilmeade: Put a slogan on it. We would love to know a little bit about you. Why do you feel patriotic at this time? About the sacrifices that thousands are making at this time.
Doocy: Be sure to also let us know if you have a family member serving so we can give them a shout out as well.
