The HOF did not politicize baseball. Robbins and Sarandon, through their own words have politicized themselves. The right of free speech is a right to speak and nothing more. It doesn't give you the right to be heard where you do not want to be heard. Me thinks that the HOF did not want to give them the opportunity to turn it into a political event.

and Sarandon plays a fan who helps him focus his erratic talent.Correction. Sarandon plays a whore who helps him focus on his erratic talent. An Autobio?

I see no reason that the BBHoF should give the two disidents a public platform to spew their vitrol. Great decision.

Funny how the celebrities want it both ways: They want their fame from pretending in front of audiences to carry over and give weight whenever they spout an opinion, but they don't want the voicing of their unpopular opinion to impact on the money which their celebrity brought them.

It appears they are...
Tommy "I'm very troubled" Daschle
Natallie "I was just kidding" Maines
Alec "Want to molest Canteen Boy" Baldwin
...for sure.
Eddie01 "Keep up the good work."

Actually, Ann Coulter was
perfectly describing Boy Toy and Saggy Boobs Sarandon when she said
leftists don't seem to like the First Amendment as much when someone else is holding the microphone. "It's not any fun when the rabbit has a gun and shoots back," said Ann. LOL!
I'm just hoping these two spoiled brats keep flapping their lips and keep getting smacked down with public outrage. Hopefully their incomes will plummet, they won't be able to go anywhere in public without being booed, and they'll be forced to pack up and move to France. LOL

We need to approach this problem with liberal tools: Since the actors are afraid to spout their anti-American opinions, this is a big crisis. There are multimillionaires who are losing income over their opinions. So following the lead of Hollywood liberals themselves, here is what I propose: An immediate $50 tax on all theater ticket sales, to go to an unemployment fund for laid-off unpopular actors. Part of this fund will go to education campaigns on how their opinions are right and how wrong everyone else's opinions are. And finally, we need to make going to theaters mandatory. The failure to go see a movie is an infringement of their 1st Amendment rights, according to Al Gore.

I heard about Robbins comment about baseball being a Republican Sport on FOX News.
Robbins is an arse, imho . . .

Bull Durham (1988)
Tim Robbins (Kevin Costner) is a baseball pitcher, and wears a suspender belt under his clothes to improve his game. Left side of the brain, you see. This must be the least plausible reason ever, among some pretty implausible reasons.
It's only a few moments on the screen, to impress us that his girlfriend is very inventive and that most of the time he does what she tells him. It's a biopic of the baseball player, with plenty of action on the baseball ground and in the bedroom.

"Robbins and Sarandon, his longtime partner whom he met in the filming of "Bull Durham," have been active in rallies to protest the war in Iraq."
Notice these left wing wackos don't even acknowledge the covenant of marriage.

Freedom of speech isn't working out so well for liberals now that they aren't the only ones with a microphone. It's not so much fun when the rabbit's got the gun.
