http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/893265/posts?page=23

See thread for details..

TO ALL:

Here's an update I just received about Friday's Vigil...

"No you do not have to call.
Just show up anytime between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

You may call if you like, simply to let us know about what time to expect you.

Don't forget to bring your flags, banners, signs saying "We Love Charlton Heston" "We Like Ben Hur" "Yeah Moses" "Heston: WWII Veteran" "Heston: Civil Rights Activist" " Heston: Friend of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr." etc,

If you represent an organization, bring your banners.

Indeed, spread the word. Tell everyone to call the talk shows and remind the listeners to attend...."

Due to recent military actions by our awesome armed forces, the world is becoming safer from the murderous violence of the Mohammedan Cult. The invasion of Iraq has worked to lessen this threat. More is likely needed - though I hope not. ANY war should be avoided if at all possible.

Any vision of geopolitics that implies we can just sit in our living rooms and wait on a war to come here is beyond naieve - have you been even marginally aware of the history of, oh, say the last 200 years?

This war along with the actions in Afghanistan DOES "protect Americans". Believe it!

...Today CBS Network Radio News on the Hour reported that...

.."TIM ROBBINS and his live-in girl friend of many years SUSAN SARANDON were very upset over what the tabloids are going to be saying about them"..!

Somebody has really pulled their Chain, BIG TIME.

Dr. Laura on KFI AM 640 radio today, said that Susan Sarandon was the foremost activist who attacked her TV show and stepped on Dr. Laura's Right to Free Speech and forced every sponser to back out!

But, now poor Timmy Robbins is hiding in his "mommy's" skirt crying "They won't let me speak! (sob, sob)"

Who led these elitists to believe it's all about THEM?

The actor-activist attempted to portray Grove's quoting of Sarandon's mother as an attack on his son. "I personally think that we should lay off the children," he said. "It's not their choice that their parents are saying what they are saying. They shouldn't be vilified in the press. It's just nasty, it's not nice."

In the lengthy diatribe he spewed a few days ago, about the BBHOF decision et alia, Robbins voluntarily used his 11 year old nephew as a prop for his tirade. The hypocrisy of this idiot does not amaze me. Appall, yes... amaze? No.

"Who led these elitists to believe it's all about THEM?"

It was me.
I am sorry.

I served eight years in the armed forces, voted for Reagan, celebrated the winning of the cold war and the fall of the Berlin Wall, and then, I took a nap.
I was really tired.I really needed the rest.I thought I could relax and ignore the rest of the world for a time.I thought I could have a personal life, and let my fellow Americans deal with victory.
I was wrong.
I am sorry I let everyone down.
I am too old to actually fight a war now.The only thing I can do to mitigate my guilt, for my selfish longing for rest, is to speak out and "protest" those who had planned all along to take advantage of my weariness.
Thank God, there are those who did not rest, and those young men and women who did not sleep, but prepared themselves to carry a burden I thought ended.
I am fully awake now.
I will never sleep peacefully again.
God,
Please forgive me for my selfish desire to rest. Please let me have the chance to change the results of my bad judgement, before my child has to pay the price for my errors in judgement!

Greybird made some false assumptions and called me a hypocrite on another thread, also linking me with the likes of Robbins. He/she has made up his/her mind and any debate on the subject is useless.

"You who picketed him, though, as well as Robbins, are worthless hypocrites."

LOL, doesn't that kinda assume that you know what our position was on other wars, such as the Balkans? Oh, yup, that's right, you told me above what my position was on previous conflicts.

How convenient. Well, since you know what I'm thinking, no sense debating with you, LOL. Some people's brains are like an echo chamber, filled with the empty resonances of their own voices from which they create their own individual political reality they call social reality. That's what I was thinking.

But then, greybird, you already knew that.

Don't feel so bad. I don't even know "where" I went
in the years following Reagan's presidency!

I was newly-married when Clinton became President.
I don't have ONE single memory of being upset
about it, or having any urge to be an Anti-Clinton
activist!

It wasn't until just a few years ago that I woke-up from
my slumber. Watching Larry Nichols fabulous video, "The Clinton Cronicles" caused me to open my eyes a bit, and then the news that the Government had killed innocents at WACO by using flamable-tear gas jolted me awake even more.

George Putnam's TALK BACK radio show (now on KPLS AM 830 noon-2pm) caused me to completely wake up because of his fabulous guests: Larry Nichols, Larry Klayman, Carl Limbacher, Matt Drudge, Chris Ruddy etc.

I've been ALERT ever since.

George Putnam has been on the Radio for over 40 years saying what we only "figured out" in the last few years!

Thank goodness for the Patriots
We're sorry we took so long to listen.

Don't be. Only a liberal would buy what he's saying about you guys.

I mean, if it helps, I'm embarassed to say Greybird is in the same general taxonomical species as me. ;-)

Well, I'm not a Coulter fan, so no comment on that, but if George Will went at him, ya might as well change the last name to Foreman, cuz Robbins would be meat.

Not that Robbins will ever show up on any talk show where he's not "safe" from actual questions about things.

I'm wondering if Robbins was starting to feel left out with Susan baby getting all the spotlight coverage? I mean, they were getting trashed already and some beleive negative publicity is better than no publicity, so might not Robbins by exploiting his own son for his own publicity?

Robbins' complaints about an alleged backlash against those who opposed the war also seemed hypocritical to Taylor.

"People like Susan Sarandon were supporters of and participants in the 'Stop Dr. Laura' campaign to get Dr. Laura's [Schlessinger] TV show taken off the air when Paramount was syndicating it," Taylor said. "Fair play for all?"

I am so glad you picked up on this. This drove me nuts in the months leading up to Dr. Laura's ill-fated show -- that Sarandon, who showed up at that Brooklyn art gallery to defend the "free speech" of a guy who used pornographic photos and animal dung in a portrait of the Virgin Mary, was suggesting that Dr. Laura's free speech was too dangerous for public consumption.

"The actor responded to each of the edited questions verbally, without any actual or threatened physical violence."

LOL!
I LOVE it when Leftist journalistic methods are turned around and used on Leftists!

Thx. I understand now.

Amazing of some of the keyboard patriots on this site isn't it.

They never get out on the street or work for effective change, yet they are the most intolerant of anyone around here. 'Pod
