Hillary: 'I am Sick and Tired' of Patriotic Critics
New York Sen. Hillary Clinton opened up both barrels on supporters of President Bush Monday night, saying she's "sick and tired" of the way the patriotism of Bush's critics has been questioned.
"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic," a shrill-sounding Clinton shouted during her address to Connecticut's Jefferson Jackson Bailey dinner.
"We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration," she shrieked.
The non-presidential candidate, who's miles ahead of every other Democratic presidential hopeful in every poll that includes her name, zeroed in on the economy, saying that Bush had given the nation the worst economic policies since the Great Depression.
"In just two years, the country again faces hefty budget deficits," she said. "We are, unfortunately, reaping the bad consequences of a wrong economic policy. They have the most wrong-headed economic policies that we've seen since Herbert Hoover."
In an attempt to explain why the country wasn't saddled with the bread lines and street-corner apple salesmen of the Hoover era, Clinton said, "People know better than what they hear and what they see

Wow. That photo must have been heavily airbrushed to remove the uglyness from her face.
Either that or she has a gallon of make-up or spackle on her face to cover up the wrinkles and jowles.

To be patriotic is to serve the interests of your country and countrymen - one aspect (amongst many) of this is to ask questions. It does not mean making snide remarks calling into question the motives of your country to score points with international audiences. Critics have a burden of offering reasoned opinion not anti-american demagougery, especially when we are at war. In the same sense that there are Americans to whom America is never wrong, there are countless liberals to whom America is never right. These people are labeled unpatriotic, and rightly so.Very well said!

Did the dimocrats invent the word "wrongheaded"? I have never heard that word before I started hearing the dim using it against the Republicans. Can't they just say the Republicans are wrong? Wrongheaded sounds like a congential problem like flatfooted or bucktoothed or humpbacked.

Sean Hannity is talking about this now and he's playing bits of Hillary's shrieking! E-Gads, man, no wonder Bill Clinton strayed off the front porch! What an awful voice Hillary has.I was saying the very same thing to someone a few hours ago after we heard the tape on Hannity's show. I can definitely understand why he had to screw around.

Hillary is great.
Notice her line of argument in debate after debate. She sets her arguments against an army of straw men.
This is her greatest weakness. Against a skilled opponent, she would be undone quite easily.

Absolutely ~~ I was immediately reminded of Ted Kennedy's speech when X42 was seeking re-election. BUT, at the end of her speech, she sounds exactly like Teddy Kennedy. If you tuned in and heard only the last five or six sentences, you would think it was TKennedy spewing!

FREEPER RACE BANNON called in to the show and made the point that while Hillary is screaming about people needing to stand up and debate "any administration", many FREEPERS, including himself were silenced immediately and subjected to other coercive measures during President Clinton's administration.
*PING* to Race Bannon....would you be willing to fill us in a little more completely about your conversation with Hannity?
