Hong Kong (dpa) - A restaurant in western China has been ordered to shut down after being caught using old underpants as dish cloths, a news report said Monday.

Health inspectors swooped on the restaurant in Chengdu, Sichuan province, after getting a tip-off about the old underpants being used in the kitchens.

The inspectors ordered the restaurant to shut down temporarily while an investigation into its hygiene standards is conducted, the South China Morning Post reported.

Panties can't be that deadly cos China's population grew to 1.3 billion!

Maybe there is something in panties that are actually beneficial, otherwise ,how did China get to 1.3 billion people

Its not only overseas - gotta keep your eyes open here in the states these days. I recently watched a guy go straight from the stall (he rendered the men's room barely habitable) to behind the Schezwan counter at the food court in DC's Old Post Office.

Its getting so I refuse to eat out at all.

here in the US, we do have Health inspectors, right?

so, we should lobby harder to our reps to make sure our city councils enforce cleaniness laws, especially in our China-towns

A man reluctantly goes to a chinese resturant in Hong Kong. He is hungry but he hates chinese food because it gives him diarrhea. He is in a hurry so he figures he has no choice but to try the chinese resturant on the corner.

He orders his food and consumes it, but sure enough, he feels that old familiar gurguling in his lower intestines.

He quickly leaves the table and heads to the bathroom.

Sitting on the toilet, he lets fly in a torrid of watery fecal mass. In a few moments he reaches for where the toilet paper would normally be, but, to his horror, none was there.

Instead of toilet paper there was only a round hole in the wall big enough to insert his hand. Above the hole was a sign that said: "First, clean yourself with your hand, then insert hand in hole and your hand will be cleaned by human lips."

The man thought this was odd and disgusting, but he had no choice.

So he began to clean his hind-quarters of all post bowel escavation residue with his hand and then he proceeded to insert the fowl disgustingly dirty mass into the hole for cleaning via "human lips."

As his hand disappeared into the darkness on the other side of the wall he began to feel sorry for the poor, miserable individual who was commissioned to do the cleaning.

At that very moment, on the other side of the wall, a huge 300 lbs. Chinese waiter holding two huge bricks slams the dirty hand with a punishing blow. BAM!!!!

The man screams in pain and, like lightning, instinctly withdraws his hand and inserts the brown, smelly and now swelling mass INTO HIS MOUTH. YEEEEOOOOOWWWWWAAAAGGGGGGG!!!
