"The Daily Show" really lampooned the fugitive Texas Dimocrats.
TOPICS: News/Current Events; Political Humor/Cartoons; US: Texas
KEYWORDS: democrats; dimbulbs; dimocrats; epitaphs; humor; lastgasp; laughingstocks; texas
I caught part of this while channel-surfing last night, and now there's a video clip on their website.
I don't have broadband at home so I couldn't get a re-run of it, corporate firewall blocks videos here at work. Can someone watch this video clip, post highlights or some sort of transcript? Is there a way this can be downloaded so I could watch it on an "unprotected" system?

Go to "The Daily Show Headline: It's a Texas House of Representative Party, as angry Dims bolt for Oklahoma."

Just watched it and it's great - final comments: "Maybe thers's nothing left for them, and perhaps all Democrats, to leave they're states and wander the country as roving bands of renegades. Of course, they will be hunted, and some killed, but the survivors will live to tell a story of a once-relevant political party."

Even funnier was when TDS' correspondent declared President Bush the winner of the 2004 race after reporting on the SC Dem debate (as if he were talking at 10pm Election Night 2004).

Jon Stewart seems to be taking an even handed approach to the ME issues. I loved his bumper sticker presumably to be found on the back of a state department motorcade vehicle.
