That money would go quite a ways in helping the states meet their budget shortfalls or extending medical insurance to cover prescriptions for the elderly. Is there any limit on the amount we are ready to dispense for the benefit of Israel?

Looking around your independentamericans link, I seem to detect a trace of Mormondom. Doesn't really matter, but I'm curious.

I found that one on Google. Didn't look any further. And I am Catholic and live far away from Utah.

Wasn't the slogan during the conflict with the Barbary Coast pirates "Millions for defense, not a penny for tribute?" And now we're bribing their descendants.
How far we've sunk...

300,000 troops in Iraq fighting a war was to cost 75B. How about 25,000 troops in Lebanon for 500,000. With a Combined Arms Force of Air and Land forces, they could probably save a few bucks for the eventual thrust's into Syria and Iran.

The Tomahawk Cruise costs about 500K. That means we could drop a thousand of them on Hezbolah instead of offering the bribe... and still come out even.

Yeah, it always rankles you when the USA does something for Israel and MidEast peace.
Tuff luck bub!!!
As long as we crave MidEast oil it will be in our interests to have peace in the MidEast.

As long as we crave MidEast oil it will be in our interests to have peace in the MidEast. And we'll have neither oil nor peace giving all our support to those who have neither.
There are various estimates of what we've given Israel but a reasonable middle amount is 90 billion. That amount can be doubled to cover interest payments on the debt (if you think that's too much, check your mortgage payments). A very healthy portion of the national debt is due to our obsession with Israel.
By the way, watch that hubris. You've been winning a lot lately but it may not go on forever. Then you'll want to be able to play the anti-semitic card.

You notice I've said nothing about dual-loyalty, mostly because I question if it is dual. But I'll let you speak for yourself:
I am Jewish and am interested in seeing Israel prosper and do well in the face of Arab intimidation and possible war. I don't worry so much about Americans since life is a bit too comfortable here.

Actually this money will benefit the Arabs in THE GCC. It is to the interest of all to eliminate the bad actors.
You don't know the source of the funds.

Worth repeating so everyone can see! Paying people to do the RIGHT thing... Geeze! I guess everyone is a pimp or whore these days.
