I hear ya. I gotta have at least one to get me through the afternoon at work.

I've been doing the low-carb thing for a while and the low-carbers say to stay away aspartame, so I've been going to Diet-Rite Cola more often. I think Diet Coke tastes MUCH better than Diet-Rite, but Diet-Rite is made with Splenda and the low-carbers like that better.

But I've heard the aspartame/health claims for a few years - I've always considered them Lyndon LaRouche type claims.
