[history]
In early May, support for legal relations reached a high of 60%-35%.
The shift in attitudes occurs as gay issues have been in the news. In recent weeks, the Supreme Court struck down a Texas anti-sodomy law, a Canadian court decision allowed gay couples to marry in Ontario, and Wal-Mart expanded anti-discrimination protection to gay workers.

Whatever happened. It's time for the sodomites to get back in the closet.
God save America!

We are no longer being encouraged to be tolerant.
We are now being forced to except it as no different than "normal" sexual relations between a man and a women at the threat of both civil and criminal penalties if we disagree.

The ignorant blind trust that these idiots put in democracy and polls is amazing. How can they imagine that we could be in the state we are if 'polls' are so trustworthy? The previous poll referred to was obviously in error. Any 'tolerance' is grudging and at the point of the government's gun.

It's not blind trust- it's an attempt at manipulation. When they engineer a poll and get the results they desire it is trumpeted far and wide as "proof" of what the people want. When it goes against them, the poll is buried or called a glitch, or "the only poll is the ballot box."

The Onion articles are normally supposed to be satire, but this one I think may be fairly accurate, except for the last few lines.
If most people could see a Gay-Pride Parade, they to would be horrified that, first, these people are allowed to do that in public, and that these people would want to do that in public at all! Thirdly, what do they have to be proud about?

"46% said no" That 46% who supports Queer Marriages and all those lip-o-suction females are an ambarrassment to human race.

Its that and more. The media portrays homosexuals as being incapable of being evil and that they are intellectually and culturally superior to the rest.

Asked whether same-sex relations between consenting adults should be legal, 48% said yes; 46% said no.In early May, support for legal relations reached a high of 60%-35%.
Hmmm. Let me see if I have this right...
60% wanted this.
It happened.
Now 48% want it.
I don't believe that.
It's not like it's had any practical effect (yet), so people wouldn't be changing their minds because of some unforeseen consequence.
I think these polls are crap.

"We are no longer being encouraged to be tolerant. "
This is exactly the point. However I must point out that the article I read before seeing this refers to "Gay Issues", not "Gays". I don't know if the lead post intended to, but it changed the actual words, I think. Even if so, the article itself attempts to influence.
Notice the subtle stretch in the "story" from poll results which, IMO, reflect backlash to the cultural offensive.....to "less" tolerance for the people who identify themselves as gay.
(i.e. : "Americans becoming less tolerant of GAYS))
Are those who answered in the increasing category just becoming weary of having this stuff forced upon them? Or are they instead taking the opportunity to do what they REALLY want to do....just hate people who are "different"?
...The subtlety seeks to influence in favor of the latter, if you ask me. The agenda-driven homosexual community cannot, of course, accept disagreement at face value. It must be made to sound like more Matthew Shepards are around the corner.

Thirdly, what do they have to be proud about? My brother works in catering. He told me that I would be horrified if I went with him to these 'gay' parties. What goes on there is unspeakable.

While the article is fake, I've got to think the pictures are from actual events. I don't think The Onion has the kind of budget to go stage shots like that.

After several years of growing tolerance, the survey shows a return to a level of more traditional attitudes last seen in the mid-1990s. I argue that the concept of tolerance no longer exists, since the element of choice has been removed.
When perversion becomes a right to be rubbed in the face of 4000 years of civilization, we can put lipstick on it but we can't hide the porcine nature of the subject.
That the word tolerance is still used is amusing.
That it can be demanded and defined as a "right" is impossible.

Agreed. Tolerance only counts if there is a choice, real or implied, that you can chose not to tolerate.
It's not tolerance if you are forced to sit still and have it rammed past your teeth -- and that's what the "gay rights" community is doing.
A young lady I know who is Hong Kong Chinese was all for gay rights -- until a lesbian student at her California campus put a move on her, and then called her a bigot when she refused that advance.
She may not be returning to California after summer vacation because she is afraid of what may be waiting for her in the "ladies" rooms now that the Transgender Law has passed.
