Whenever they do it, the timing will be the same as with Elian, in the very early morning, using an entrance not seen by those on-hand, with a large cadre of police.

Yep, looks like a dawn raid is coming. Can someone spread the word to those on the ground in Montgomery?

You see this as being the same as Waco?

Wow.

Not Waco per se. More like Elian. Pryor wont kill anyone but he will snatch the monument with an armed goon squad.

Wow.

Can't say I find that to be a reasonable parallel.

It's ok to be a Christian in America. Just don't act like one in public. Shades of the Roman persecution. But the good news is you can't suppress the Truth for very long, and the results of persecution are always the same, it makes the Church of Christ stronger.

LOL, A stretch is too stiff for this parallel, More like a 300 LB man jumping off a 12,000 foot cliff on a 4000 foot bungie cord :-)

Maybe they will call in the demolition team to blow this chunk of marble up, like the Taliban did to the 30 foot statue of the Buddha in Afghanistan. When it comes right down to it, what's the difference between forcibly removing it from sight and destroying it? Not really much that I can see, for they both serve the same purpose. God bless America? Why would He want to, we turned His Commandments into contraband?

Quick - go join the Hajj

to Roy's holy rock, touch it, reverently view it and prostrate yourselves before it. Flail around, wail, cry, beat your breasts...

I bet they will not only remove the monument, they will destroy it. I do not know this for a fact, but it wouldn't surprise me if certain parties tried to "send a message" by destroying the monument. Just another day in the Soviet States of Amerika.

Crazy question here, but I really don't know the answer. Can they lift 2 tons off the roof with a helicopter gunship? Seems like a doable plan for the evil ones if the weight can be supported.

Why are people opposed to this monument? It's not just a religious document. The Ten Commandments influenced America's legal system, and therefore have historical significance, like the Constitution and The Declaration of Independence. Furthermore, NO ONE IS BEING HARMED BY THE DISPLAY! As for Bill Pryor, he's in an impossible spot, and I feel sad for him. But Senate Democrats can't accuse him of putting his personal beliefs above the law now.

Difficult spot, but not impossible. He could have resigned, he could have resisted. Instead, he has sided with evil. Sad. Very Sad.
