Donald Rumsfeld's recent visit to Colombia is a welcome signal of solidarity toward America's most reliable Latin American ally in the war on terror.
"The Colombians are in every sense holding up their side of the partnership against narcoterrorism, and so we are always trying to find ways that we can be helpful," the Secretary of Defense said in an interview en route to Bogota. Perhaps even some holdouts in the State Department will now get the message.

Why would it be nonsense to mix two perfectly legal substances together? Many alcoholic beverages are already a mixture of different liquors and other liquids. If drugs are as legal as salt, it could be added like salt is to a margarita.

See post 31 where the little harmless kid selling weed gets brought up in this thread. I'm always seeing the harmless pothead being used to justify every hard and dangerous drug being legalized. I rarely see arguments for the legalization of just marijuana but keeping the drugs like PCP and meth illegal.

Adding them to an alcoholic drink wouldn't be anymore illegal than the alcohol itself being put in.Utter nonsense.
Why would it be nonsense to mix two perfectly legal substances together?
The nonsense is your claim that spiking someone's drink with a legal substance must be legal. Rat poison is legal---does that make it legal to put it in someone's alcoholic drink?
