I liked this, but....call me the spelling police, "deficit" is spelled wrong (defecit) at least twice in the article.

However, once the author catches wind his article showed up here, he can patch up the article and put on his resume that his work has been proofread by the grueling review board of FreeRepublic.

I know, it is distracting. The misspelled version makes me think of Hillary Clinton for some peculiar reason.

Thank you.
I quit reading when the author made that mistake. I went to the site and went up to the root directory - gee, anti-gravity and

"A True Account of a Weird Event
I may have been scanned by a UFO"

makes me think - TIN FOIL hat time!
In other words - a load of $h_t.

Probably because the misspelling DEFECIT looks so much like DEFECATE! LOL!

I have been looking for this....finally I found it. I am by nature a moderate with no political ties, basically leaning towards the group that gave me "warm fuzzies". Over the past four years; however the Democrats have done nothing but try and tear this country apart shamefully. I watched how the Democrats "Interrogated" Ms Wright at the 9/11 hearings which solidified my conviction to NEVER vote Democrat again, and to do my best to ensure others around me do not vote Democrat simply by pointing out facts.the least of which being that if the accusations against Bush WERE true, the scandal that this would bring would 10 times more devastating than Watergate ever could have been.

thanks for the article

Great post, I love it!!

I am going to fill a glass partly full of cubes and leave it on the counter tonight. I will leave some cubes sticking out above the glass, but the majority of ice will be underwater. It should not flood over if this is true:

Only land-based ice can add to the volume of water in the oceans.

Well mr. scientist, don’t get confused by the sweat from the glass sides that will puddle on the counter, thinking the water inside ran out! Glad you’re not designing nuclear reactors!!!!!

I thought of that already

So, I rigged it above my bed so it would drip on my forehead. That way I can keep an eye on it all night. I sleep with a electric blanket. So, don’t you worry about a thing.

Besides, I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

OK, the ice already melted. It had the same ring as the glass I uses sitting next to it (I placed it the glasses on a wood cutting board). I used two probably 6 oz glasses.

So, now I took a bowl and put a block of ice in it. Filled it with water until the block floated and I marked the water level in the bowl.

How is that? Water level should not rise because ice floats.

I want to see this for myself so I can tell Demorats to do it.

Pookie had this link on his Today’s toons thread. Thought it was appropriate here. :)

It’s from the Right Brothers and the song is titled “Liberals we can’t stand.”

You and I both know that the condensation would screw up a dhimmi. But they would think global warming caused it! LOL

I used hot water and it melted the cubes faster.

Al Gore would have said, 'see, man caused the cubes to melt faster just like he caused the polar caps to melt faster too'.

I put a large block of ice in a bowl with some water and the water level never increased after the ice melted.

I am going to tell demorats to do this and see it for themselves.

Probably won’t prove nothing to them though.

Archimedes would be proud of you. If you get a little evaporation, you can even prove that melting sea ice will cause ocean levels to fall!

The Republicans are the party for rich people and the Democrats are the party for poor people.

Republican policies make more people rich while Democrat policies make more people poor.
