Still recovering from the humiliation of being unceremoniously dumped from Fox News, and unable to digest the success of Bill O'Reilly's The Factor program, celebrity obsessed, Hollywood hungry internet news feeder Matt Drudge has sunk to a new low of media bias.
In a childish display of envy at O'Reilly's high ratings, he has included both MTV and Bravo (two distinctly non-news cable channels, for those of you in Rio Linda) programs in the latest overnight ratings for Cable News:
********************************************
CABLE NEWS RACE
TUES SEPT 23, 2003
MTV - NICK/JESSICA 2.3 [RATING]
FOX - O'REILLY 2.2
BRAVO - QUEER EYE 2.2
FOX - HANNITY & COLMES 1.6
FOX - SHEP 1.2
FOX - GRETA 1.1
CNN - LARRY KING 0.9
CNN - AARON BROWN 0.6
MSNBC - SCARBOROUGH 0.5
CNN - ANDERSON COOPER 0.4
CNN - PAULA ZAHN 0.4
MSNBC - HARDBALL 0.4
MSNBC - ABRAMS 0.3
MSNBC - OLBERMANN 0.3
Apparently, Drudge is not willing to let honest reporting stand in the way of his pettiness.

It is not Drudge who is being petty...

I don't think he is taking a crack at O'Reilly, but at cable news. If programs on Bravo and Nickelodeon are beating all the talking heads, it is quite sad.
True statistic. Only 1 in 100 americans are actually watching FOX/CNN/MSNBC/CNBC/Headline news combined on an average night.

I don't know about you, but I got a chuckle out of it.

We rake the liberals over coals over their bias, it is time to hold others to the same standards.

You're missing the point here. It's a sign of how frivolous TV land Americans are.

Ratings are irrelevent in a TIVO world.

I don't think he is taking a crack at O'Reilly Sorry, I disagree. Drudge is obsessed with O'Reilly, and for a few weeks last year leading up to O'Reilly's radio show, constantly berated him for some misunderstanding with the show's announcement. Ever since then, he has maligned O'Reilly on his show intermittently. He just cannot let go.
Notice that O'Reilly was bracketed by the MTV/Bravo programs.

I don't know. Maybe Drudge is trying to make the point that the commie-libs are all watching MTV and Bravo. The natural audience for the MSNBC pinkos at the very bottom of the ratings pack, are too stupid to watch a news program. Their attention spans being so short. Unfortunately the votes of these rat idiots count the same as that of freepers. Which is why we need VOTER COMPETENCY TESTING NOW!

If 'pettiness' were a 5 letter word, it would be spelled nwrep Apparently, you have not been following Drudge, then.

Yeah, that one. Although I can't imagine that a martini out of that pitcher would have been very cold.
