Tax Cuts Working, Bad News For Left
EIB ^ | September 30, 2003 | Rush Limbaugh

This is not going to please Jonathan Chait of The New Republic who has admitted that he hates George W. Bush. This is from an Associated Press story, "Flush with extra cash from tax cuts, America's consumers treated themselves in August and spent with gusto, which is good news for the economy's revival. Many analysts believe that the economy is growing at a rate in excess now of 5% in the current quarter…" This AP writer, Jeannine Aversa, whether she knows it or not, has now linked the Bush tax cuts to rapid economic growth, which Jonathan Chait at the New Republic is going to hate. Many of you liberals are not going to like this, because this isn't supposed to happen. The Bush tax cuts are supposed to cause all kinds of harm; the poor and women are supposed to get poorer and become even more women-like. It's just not good. Tax increases are what we need, especially on the rich.

But now we learn that tax cuts may push economic growth to over 5% in this quarter. This works every time it's tried. It's working now. This ought to be reacted to as good news! This is good news for the economy! There's consumer spending out there, and consumer confidence, somewhat lagging, will catch up, just like unemployment, which is always a lagging indicator on economic growth.

Now, in any normal circumstance, atmosphere, or universe, this would be great news. The economy is rebounding. But it's horrible news today for the Democrats, horrible news for the left. This is the exact opposite of the kind of news they want. They want misery. They want economic collapse. They want malaise. They prefer a straight, flat line, or maybe a decreasing line when it comes to economic growth and activity. That will help them get reelected. They think they'll fix it later when they get into office, but it's not happening, and this will make them even angrier, my friends.

Tax Cuts Working...

Yeah, they're doing the local school district and insurance company a lot of good, because they got every penny of mine. But since I don't have a gaggle of kids that I can't afford, so I don't deserve anything else.

They just announced another additional 76,000 manufacturing jobs lost in September. I dont see anything working here. Why are more and more job cuts considered "working"?

Do you have a job?

Since you don't have a "gaggle" of kids, I guess that means that you are voluntarily removing yourself from the gene pool. On behalf of homo sapiens, I thank you.

By the way, if you don't like your school district taxes, move. Heck, there are communities without kids. Find one of them.

I have a better idea...why don't you go get stuffed. Why should people who choose not to have more kids than they can afford subsidize refundable tax credits and rebates for those people who do? There is no sound reason for people having a claim to any part of my income because they chose to have a house full of kids.
