CALL FOR PAPERS The Third North American Conference of the Palestine Solidarity Movement seeks papers, documents and other written materials that memorialize historical and present experience in building Palestine solidarity and divestment movements. We welcome materials about research, experience in setting up student groups and campaigns, developing divestment calls, amd outreaching to others.

We welcome papers with a historical focus, overviews of current movements and situations, and documents looking toward the future. These papers will be distributed at the conference, at Rutgers University on October 10-12, 2003, and beyond, published together as a record and a guide to movement-building. All SJP chapters and individuals are invited to submit papers and documents.

Dear President McCormick, Vice President Dennis, and Dean Logue;
Your decision to cancel the room reservations for the Third North American Conference on the Palestine Solidarity Movement is wise and widely supported by thinking people everywhere. As university administrators, you have lived up to your obligation to provide an environment which fosters truth and stands firm against bigotry and historical revision. By standing firm for truth, you have set a good example for many.
You may hear from some who say you are leading "an attack on peace and justice activists everywhere." On the contrary, your decision will prevent hateful propagandists from inciting even more hatred in the middle-east. Your students and our society as a whole will benefit by not being exposed to this "conference," which is really no more than a Klan rally attempting to cloak itself in intellectualism.
Once again, thank you for not being intimidated by inflammatory hate mongers. I encourage you to stand by your principles, you have truly earned the great respect you garner.
