Missyme, from our correspondence on FR, I actually respect you as a free thinker in the best sense of the word. But you are swimming in some pretty strong currents without a tether. Knowing you, I trust you are simply passing this on for discussion, maybe a little devil's advocacy, and not really trying to assert the truth of this. But you are starting to worry me.
Speculation is a healthy exercise for a free mind, but find some core beliefs to prevent yourself from being swept away in the current: This work is plainly the product of a crackpot.
No I am not saying this article has any stretch of validity at all, I am saying that, I think that when Jesus speaks of a Final Generation or speaking of a generation can be concluded in some dates that is all.
A generation from my research has to do with the Fig Tree Parable.
I think that prophesy is very fascinating, but at the same time I would much rather not know the day nor the hour. Some people may live in fear of that date. Just be ready, that is all wwe have to do.
I think that most people would want to know the end of the world because I think for many people they would have a sense of relief.
Fear is the Unknown...
William Branaham? IS that you? IS this me?
Glad to hear it. Peace. :^)
"Are you familiar with the prophecy that..."
Yes I am, but again, I believe its dangerous to deconstuct prophecy to determine a timeline, Rapture date, etc. Thats not the intent - knowing that Judgement *will* eventaully come is enough for me. I don't need to know when. Trying to determine "when" redirects spiritual energy towards selfish desires.
Trust me. Several years ago I took the road you are on. Its a dead end.
Who do you like for the football games this weekend? :)
I don't feel I am on a dead end in my walk with GOD I do feel people panic when talking about the End Times you can talk about it and discuss it, it's not Pandora's Box
nor is it a subject that takes you away from you ability to do GOD's work.
I am not sitting outside looking at the day the world will blow up it is a topic that is real and makes you think daily about doing right because as you say We do not know the day but do know the end is coming.
That's because whatever the Son receives, he receives from the Father. The Father (the 'thinker') sees the end of all things and passes on what is relevant to the Son. The Son is the expression of the thinker, the thought, which manifests in the universe as the 'Word of God' -- the Logos.
And it is the Father which reveals the Son to each person, not flesh and blood, but our Father in heaven. Therefore, the Father which is within you, is greater than that which is in the world.
Want to see Jesus? Roll away the stone from the grave (stony hearts) and wait in the 'upper room' for His appearing.
Expectation is the key, for it is the capstone of your faith. A faith which concludes and proves justified at His appearing.
I am curious as well, but if you were given an opportunity to find out when you were going to pass on, would you? We may not live to see the end of the world (not all of us). Some of us know where we are going when we leave this place, just trust in the Lord.
Be Bless

Until those things happen, the end of the Jewish people would not even be a possibility.
That's assuming that "genea" is translated race. Every translation I know of does NOT translate it that way, but since this is prophecy, it is good to recognize an alternate meaning to the word.
Why forty years, indeed.
A generation can vary in years, but why should that matter?
Luke 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
What generation is this? The same as that generation:
Matthew 11:16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
Matthew 11:17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
Matthew 11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
Matthew 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
"Evil, wicked, adulterous" generation comes to mind. That's the generation that sells (prostitutes) its "wisdom" in books, videos, and prophecy conferences. This generation has its reward. Even Nineveh (Mosel) will rise up and judge it.
I think if I could spend the day with anybody that has ever set foot on the planet it would be Jesus Christ, I am sure you would too! :) so there is always an element of excitement when you speak about somebody you would like to see.
Of course Jesus is in our hearts daily, but I bet if you asked the majority of people Conservative, liberal, religious or secular of all denominations creeds and races if they could see and spend one day with anybody in the world who has graced our planet they would say Jesus Christ.
God Bless You too!
I am looking forward to that glorious day too.
Your sister in Christ
Thank you for your post! I did not think a generation had to do with "race" as some has stated on this thread..it does not make sense from that perspective.
Can you give us an explanation?
We must live in different solar systems. In this one, a "week" has never been 7 years.
That'd be nice, but it's most probably not gonna happen.
Ah, God doesn't go by our time table.
Matt. 24:36&44
[36] But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
[44] Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
