URGENT prayer request needed for a young family man (Kenney) who has undergone 4 operations on a severe ankle injury and is facing amputation if the latest repair does not resolve the healing process, or lack thereof. Circulation is poor, an ulcer is beginning to form and amputation seems imminent.
However, I know that prayer works in the most dire of circumstances and appeal to the freepers for sincere prayers for Kenny.
Thank you most sincerely, freepers. chit*chat
Father God... Kenney needs You. Please hear
the cry of his heart and answer according
to Your perfect will. You are Jehovah Rafa,
the God Who heals. Praise You Jesus for Your
Sovereignty over Kenney.
In Jesus name!
Done.
Please tell Kenney that an amputatation would not be the end of his life, though, as the infection, etc. threatens to do. We had a man who broke his ankle just stepping off the curb. He had a terrible infection in it and likewise, had multiple surgeries. Finally they told him that they were not going to be able to get the infection unless they amputated. He has a prosthesis and is fully recovered; is a lector and well as an Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion and active in other things at our Church.
Prayers for the right decision for Kenney.

We will pray for Kenny,Fatima
I pray to God that Kenney, despite the outcome of this traumatizing event, will be able to overcome it.
I am sure that psychologically this is extremely difficult on Kenney and his family. I certainly don’t hope for amputation. However, you and Kenny should know that there are highly advanced functional and aesthetic prosthetics that weren’t around even ten years ago.

Also, please do what you can to see to it that he is getting more than one medical opinion. This is too important to leave to just one doctor or even just on medical center.
**getting more than one medical opinion.**
Good advice. I wondered about that too.
I know no one wants to lose a limb. But with modern prothesis amputees dance (even compete on Dancing with the Stars)go mountain climbing, compete in sports( remember the runner that got bounced out of the race because his artificial limbs gave him an advantage over the able bodied runners?).There are hundreds of young people who have lost limbs in Iraq and Afghanistan and with modern materials and technology they are able to do wonders at getting them good fitting limbs so they can go on with their lives. Some of them are even able to stay in the military. My aunt’s second husband got his leg shot up real bad in the AAC over Germany in WW2. They say they wanted to amputate, but he refused. So he spent the rest of his life in pain because of it. Perhaps he might have been better off without it. I was also thinking of the actor Jim Byrnes who was a draft dodger and ran to Canada to escape having to serve in Vietnam. Soon after he was struck by a bus and lost both his legs, ironnically recieving an injury very similar to combat. But with his worst fears realized he got a hold of himself and went on to have a good career in music and acting and doing much working with other amputees, The irony is so great that it makes one wonder if that was what his fate was meant to be (working with amputees)and hysterically running from the war just changed the location it happened at. My point with all this rambling is don’t let fear overcome better judgement with this. As hard as it is, if he loses it he can go on and have a perfectly normal life.
I meant prosthetics, what I get for typing and talking on the phone at the same time.
Hyperbaric treatment can do wonders for poorly healing tissue. Get Kenny or some family member to call a hyperbaric doctor ASAP.
