All I’m saying is that once you have heard the Word and accept that into your heart you can set any book aside and live your life.

To me, the promise of the Christ means there is no failure. No one is left behind, and a lot of the hellfire and brimstone stuff is something out of a medieval nightmare.

And as much as I despise Islam, we’re all walking down the same road.

By any means, let Christ into your life.

My Faith isn’t in a book.

WHO says the Council of Nicacea got it right? IMO, The Holy Bible is just a version. Just like The Book of Mormon.

And as much as I despise Islam, we’re all walking down the same road.

Except Christ himself said:

Matthew 7:13-14

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Also:

John 10:8-9

8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture

Those practicing Islam will not see Heavan unless they repent and accept the God of Isaac, Jacob, and Abraham, and Accept Jesus as their Savior and the only begotten Son of God.

To me, the promise of the Christ means there is no failure. No one is left behind, and a lot of the hellfire and brimstone stuff is something out of a medieval nightmare.

The promise of Christ comes with a Means Test:

John 3:3-16

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Furthermore:

Mark 1:15

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

My Faith isn’t in a book.

Given your lack of knowledge concerning Christianity, I would agree with that statement of yours. Do yourself a favor and spend some more time in the Bible.

You have a religion you have made up that pleases your sensibilities, it is NOT the religion God would have you to enjoy, and it definitely isn't going to lead you where you want to be at the end of your life.

Friend after reading you response, I can only say you are blind when it comes to the Bible. You need to spend more time there than here. Your lack of knowledge of the Scriptures is apparent.

I'm not sure what you believe - if you believe in anything. maybe your emotions or how you'd like it to be. Pretty slim pickings to bet your soul on. It sounds like the "Reconciliation" message my grandfather believed. God was too merciful to send anyone to hell. It's a damnable lie that makes God out to be a liar. God either is or isn't. No two ways about it.

So Jesus was lying when He talked about hell and eternal torment and few there are that find eternal life?

Who knew?

I think that qualifies you as a false prophet.

Hmmm.... let me see. Do I believe Jesus or you?

If that is what you believe....then you are unlearned.

The Bible is clear.....

I would hope you would become learned...in what the Bible actually says.
