I called him the Pope. Don’t know where you got that idea.

My mistake.

That is NOT my opinion. It is what has been stated by the Church hierarchy. Hans Kung is not even allowed to teach moral theology. Honest questioning is one thing....criticizing incorrectly is quite another.

It is what has been stated by the Church hierarchy.

Church hierarchy has said no such thing regarding the impossibility of Pope's bad appointments.

I've already given you several examples. I'll be glad to provide more.

I'm glad you mentioned that. What do you think about this:

In response to the brouhaha, Bergoglio, speaking through an aide, told Newsweek Argentina of his "unhappiness" with Benedict’s statements and urged church members to criticize the pope.

Gee...you’ve posted what you say Pope Francis said.....but gave no source again. Why?

What do I think? I think this is untrue or misconstrued. Pope Francis and Papa Benedict are genuine brothers in Christ ...though agents with an anti-Christ spirit would have us think otherwise. Why? ...to stir up great division among men.

“When he gets to his pew and looks round him he sees just that selection of his neighbors whom he has hitherto avoided. You want to lean pretty heavily on those neighbors. Make his mind flit to and fro between an expression like ‘the body of Christ’ and the actual faces in the next pew. It matters very little, of course, what kind of people that next pew really contains. You may know one of them to be a great warrior on the Enemy’s side. No matter. Your patient, thanks to Our Father Below, is a fool. Provided that any of those neighbors sing out of tune, or have boots that squeak, or double chins, or odd clothes, the patient will quite easily believe that their religion must therefore be somehow ridiculous.”

Here's my source:

Pope Francis: A Friend To Muslims?

"Pope Benedict's statement don't reflect my own opinions,” Bergoglio stated at the time.

"These statements will serve to destroy in 20 seconds the careful construction of a relationship with Islam that Pope John Paul II built over the last 20 years.”

Benedict did not take kindly to these statements.

Brothers in Christ? Wrong!

International Business Times and Newsweek Argentina? Do you mean to tell me that you take this seriously?

(Head Palm)

“If anyone thinks that Christians regard unchastity as the supreme vice, he is quite wrong. The sins of the flesh are bad, but they are the least bad of all sins. All the worst pleasures are purely spiritual: the pleasure of putting other people in the wrong, of bossing and patronising and spoiling sport, and backbiting; the pleasures of power, of hatred. For there are two things inside me, competing with the human self which I must try to become. They are the Animal self, and the Diabolical self. The Diabolical self is the worse of the two. That is why a cold, self-righteous prig who goes regularly to church may be far nearer to hell than a prostitute. But, of course, it is better to be neither.”

How about Pope Francis as my source?

While visiting with a group of refugees at the Sacred Heart parish in Rome on Sunday, Pope Francis said:

“Sharing our experience in carrying that cross, to expel the illness within our hearts, which embitters our life: it is important that you do this in your meetings. Those that are Christian, with the Bible, and those that are Muslim, with the Quran. The faith that your parents instilled in you will always help you move on.”

Try to stick to the topic we were discussing...rather than attempting to distract with something else. Do you trust those news outlets or not? (By the way, you can find some excellent accounts of Argentinian news en español that are likely to be more accurate. As with all news media: caveat emptor.) Have you found official sources to substantiate what they have written...or were they opinion pieces?

I’ve given you sources. All you do is twice quote a fictional work by C.S. Lewis. So who’s trying to change the topic.

You missed all points given and changed the topic...and there was no quote by the esteemed C.S. Lewis in the last post.

Out of curiosity...do you profess fidelity to Pope Francis as your leader of the Church?
