-—Never did we see Paul, Peter, James etc be referred to in this manner.-—
Paul refers to Timothy repeatedly as his child and son. He also says, “I became your father in Jesus Christ through the Gospel.”
Peter and John said similar things.
The office of the chief steward or vice-regent of the ancient Davidic kingdom, the type for the papacy, is referred to as the “father to Jerusalem.” See Isaiah 22.
Paul never viewed himself as catholics view the "pope".
“See Isaiah 22”
Excellent advice!!
I recently did a bit of research on the Keys myelf and also found the Isaiah 22 passage that Jesus references when giving Peter teh keyss. This is very important to understanding the papacy; that it is a stewardship/Prime Minister office that is totally scriptural.
What a perversion of scripture...There is only one Holy Father and it ain't no faker in your Church...
Joh_17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
