Isn’t she wonderful? I am learning so much from these threads. Everyone should know the truth, don’t you think? So thankful for her and some other posters.
>love God and their neighbor.
“I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation and is but a reflection of human frailty.” - Albert Einstein
No kidding. The world is on fire. Jihadist are cutting of the heads of Christians. Economic collapse seems imminent in the west. Gay marriage on the books. Abortions publicly endorsed and supported.
Yet here we go again.
You are RNmom’s brother?
Protestants do not like those things either. You forgot to say that. Christians are being murdered. Of course, there are a few nuts in every group who do seem to like sin a whole lot.
If we had ‘like’ buttons at FR I would like your tagline. Seems appropriate ...
“And as an aside, this legalistic crap is anti-Christian, and only serves the enemy. That is my fatwa.”
Refuting error re:justification before God is not “legalism”. Messing that core doctrine up is fatal to the soul. As the author pointed out, Paul went on and on about it, as if it were a Big Deal. Believers are supposed to confront and counter false teachers/doctrines.
“You see, no man, not even he, could take him from The Fathers hand. When born from above, the Holy Spirit seal is placed upon that one and it is irrevocable and unbreakable.”
I completely agree with you, which is why I said, “Thank goodness, God doesnt listen to either of you - He decides.”
When I listened to this man giving Catholics instructions, and he said even Catholics, if they didn’t follow the Catholic rules to the letter, would not be saved, I knew I had to talk to him, for he was greatly implying that non-Catholics would definitely not be saved.
I went to him personally after he finished his talk and spent at least 15 minutes getting from him exactly what he meant. Non Catholics will not be saved and even Catholics are “iffy”. I didn’t argue with him, I just got out of him exactly what he meant.
The industry of the bloodline is contending for the Faith, the Faith as delivered to Paul, that God’s Salvation for man is by Faith so the Only one getting Glory for it is Jesus Christ the Righteous. There is no salvation trail hallmarked by sacrament necessities. There is born from above, or move along, nothing to see here.
Catholics and other denominations are being murdered. Mostly Catholics although the mainstream media refuse to identify them as such.
I just had an incident with an atheist friend of mine - we were visiting an event held on a Catholic church ground (not a religious thing) and he passed a burial ground of babies murdered in the womb. It was a burial ground of aborted babies. He was mocking it until he ran into ME. He probably will be somewhat less forward when he tries that crap again. God bless the Catholic Church for this. Other denominations should hang their head in shame for their hatred for my beautiful church.
Bullcrap. Anyway, I have already issued my Fatwa.
Praying for you. It must be sincerely miserably to lead such a narrow, angry life.
My catholic bretheren are wrong in my opinion on some doctrine things, but I know they love and accept Jesus and what he did for us.
I just regard their doctrines I don’t accept as extra unnecessary stuff, but it doesn’t knock them outta the pearly gates.
Well, my dear FRiend, you are rare on the religious threads here. Bless you.
Well thank you! And Bless you too!
Which you don't need. ALL Christians are being persecuted; it's what The Lord said would happen.
I'd much rather endure persecution and know I'm saved by grace through faith instead of risking an eternity in hell fire because I tried to work my way into Heaven by praying to Mary and genuflecting before statues.

Fatwas are as toothless as Trent’s anathemas.
Acts 15
7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
I read until the word Anglican...
Really... how did that work out for Anne Boylin?
