I stand corrected. In which case, the goings on in the UK don’t relate to conditions in the US, so the lament that “this is coming to the US next” doesn’t track.

I don't know how the survey was done, and if they counted Christians as self-reported, church members or ethnics (a theological impossibliity). I agree in principle that there is an appalling lack of Biblical literacy these days, and many in the pews are truly ignorant of what the Word actually says and means. So we're both right.

But in nations where Christianity is or has been recently persecuted, like China and Korea, and also in Africa, the Word is more cherished and powerfully kept. African bishops are taking American and British Anglican congregations under their wings because of the force-feeding of gay "rights" in Western churches. My African friends are strong, witnessing Christians.
