Nicely said. Here in America it used to be that way. Children saying the Pledge every morning, teachers teaching pride in America and her great accomplishments...

We would be happy to lend England our Consitution and Bill of Rights.

I have always wondered why the Eggheads in the State Department did not "gift" our Constitution to Iraq and Afghanistan.

It shows they do not really believe in America. They perfer something more "continental". And this was under Bush Jr. Instead of structure like ours, they gave Iraq a parliamentary system, that does less to ensure minority rights. And, guess what, the majority acted badly, pissed off the minority and the country fractured.

No first Amendment in Afghanistan. Why not? Are we fighting a war to give Islam a preeminent place in some countries?

Another huge failure of the Bush administration.

I long for those days to repeat themselves, to stand up as a great people, who were divinely inspired, who brought about the best country the world has ever created, and to be an example to the rest of the world of what potential with have if we only acknowledge God’s grace towards us.

Have a blessed Christmas, miss marmelstein

December 25th is a day to celebrate the birth of a man who lived and died. OUr forefathers of this country proclaimed it a holiday, just like the ones for Columbus, Lincoln and Washington, and even Martin Luther King...

The manger scenes are of his birth.

Somewhere along the way, that day is now a celebration of “little trees” (according to the Obamas), Hannuka, and other religious events.

Denouncing and not allowing Christmas scenes or celebrations because is links church and state is wrong.

Hopefully Trump will turn this one around too.

Every teacher I have asked said they recite the pledge every day.
