I don't need "my own personal understanding of Scripture" to know that what is being taught today is contrary to what was taught only a couple of years ago.
I also don't need "my own personal understanding of Scripture" to know what is, and isn't, in keeping with the virtue of charity. Many things I hear coming from Rome these days aren't.
Yet we see on these threads catholics who say they're V2 or pre=V2 only catholics....the mass must only be in Latin and no other language, etc.
For a group who claim ya'll don't change...ya'll sure change.
You are correct.
The bottom line=believing Jesus dying on the cross for us sinners and forgiveness of sins. That is all. Something where Catholics and Evangelicals can agree. Where we are unified. What leads to our eternal home.
All the rest leads to debate when discussing Scripture v Traditions. We need to focus where we do agree. Now is not the time for us to be battling each other.
