CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) - A rally is being planned for this weekend in Charleston to "take a stand, and normalize breasts" in West Virginia.

The organizer also says that group is meeting at Noon on the 24th at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Charleston to paint their bodies.

Have a question. Do you remember these PSA’s from the 1970’s from something called “Unity”? Is this the same bunch? Unitarianism and Universalism I mean who did these PSA’s?

Actually, the 24th is international naturist day.

West Virginia voted for Trump! Coal miners will not go for Hillary’s crap and did not want Obama’s.

Which is why am shocked this is going on. WV can be full of democrats but is also full of a lot of Christians, well that is until you get close to Charleston, then they do get quite liberal.

Sure hope some real Christians come out and protest this.

West Virginia voted for Trump!

Only Wyoming voted for Trump by a greater margin ... and the difference between WY and WV was less than a percentage point.

No. 1 Coal producing State: Wyoming.

No. 2 Coal producing State: WEST Virginia.

Coincidence? I think not!

Number of WV Counties that voted for Hildebeeste: ZERO!

Number of demonicRAT US Representatives from WV: ZERO!

Majority Party in WV Legislature (Both houses): Republican ...

So whyinthehell can't we elect a decent Governor?

“So whyinthehell can’t we elect a decent Governor? “

Not a decent one since Arch Moore.

The story I got from my brother was WV had two “crooks” running for Governor. A Rat crook & a GOP crook, they chose the lesser crook - the Rat. (He used to be GOP.) I also heard (Note I didn’t check this out to confirm!) the GOP candidate was not a native born WV’er. That is a “big deal” unless you’re a Rockefeller.

The rally in West Virginia to support Topless Women, will draw far fewer People than last year’s rally in West Virginia to support Toothless Women.

There’s a reason all the females depicted in the much thumbed thru Nat Geographics look like pancakes on their chests. No support.

Who’s calling Bill Cole a crook? For that matter, who’s calling Jim Justice a crook? He’s a ‘Rat, and puked up a bunch of typical ‘Rat campaign promises. The only ‘crooked’ thing I’m aware of is switching parties and flying the ‘Rat flag to get elected.

Did you know that the Toothbrush was invented in West Virginia?

Well, I am in my late 20’s, so I don’t recall them. However, I can say that Unity and Unitarianism/Universalism are not the same group. Looks like a Unity PSA.

Unity is just as lost. They are a cult of new age thought. They’ve been screwed up since their start, while other Churches are just now catching up to them. Their sermons are very secular and they include pagan idols, like an alter with the Wings of Isis in their Tampa Building (Egyptian, Kemetic). They are the more successful spin-off of “Christian Science”.

Their main phrase is ‘many paths to salvation.’ Such as: “A positive alternative to negative religion, Unity seeks to apply the teachings of Jesus as well as other spiritual masters.” Their home site: http://www.unity.org/

I like self reliance, so I will only support the women who don't need support. 😁

I am just repeating what my brother said is the “heard-the-street” scuttlebutt plus I heard the same from two other WV’ers independent of my brother. (Both from very different parts of the state as well as each other!)

It all goes together, neo-feminist stuff. Theologically the UU’s are not Christian, but a social-political leftist feel-good group.

I actually live in WV ... I never heard anything about either of them being crooks, and it does not have the ring of truth. Quite the contrary, in fact.

Fact is, in statewide elections, the WV GOP is remarkably inept. The State was festooned with huge Jim Justice signs starting back in May 2016 or so. The signs weren't just his name, either. They had relatively specific campaign points. Bill Cole didn't really start campaigning at all until late summer, and it was totally ineffective. If you didn't know who he was, you had no idea what if anything he stood for.

And this was the guy who got Constitutional Carry, abortion restrictions, right to work, and a bunch of other good stuff through the Senate and over Tomblin's veto. WV GOP made no effort to bank on his excellent record in the Senate.

And that's all verifiable facts, not unsourced rumor.

Covering breasts are a symbol of the patriarchy therefore this is somehow oppression. Back in the 60s/70s feminists burned their bras for similar reasons. Meanwhile they would probably advocate for burkas to be normalized in the same breath.

Oh well not surprising about the state GOP ineptness.
When I last lived there the joke was the state gop was too small, too inept and cash poor to afford capital letters in gop.

I grew up there near Charleston, hope to go back when I retire.

It is a Unity PSA. Thought they were the same bunch. Remember their PSA’s as a child. Have not seen them in years.

They are still around. My Grandma was a Unity member (and an admitted Communist). Her funeral was at one of their churches in Tampa a few years ago. Only time I’ve sat through one of their ‘sermons’ in person.

As for my town, we have two Unity Churches, but we have only one Unitarian Universalist Church.
