Progressive Christians Tend to Put Politics Over Theology

Seems self evident. They would have to put politics first to be part of the delusional Lying Left (don't call them "progressives - they are as delusionally regressive as you can get).

As is typically the case this piece isn't about “progressive Christians” but, rather,it's about Marxist atheists masquerading as Christians in order to damage this country and true Christianity as well.

There are NO “progressive Christians”.

These are a bunch of communists, pretending to be Christians, because they think people would be more likely to listen to them, if they claim to be Christians.

‘Progressiveism’ believe that The State IS god.

Totally antithetical with Christianity.

Yup. It also gives cover to secular progressive leftists when they advocate an anti-Christian position and say “look at all these church folks who agree with us. Therefore, our position must be correct.”

Well, this has become all worldly again. The possibility of a clarification from our Lord resulting in a multitude of attitude adjustments seems to be ruled out.

Perhaps conservatism believes the ondividual, and/or the reformer, and/or the congregation, is God.

Never mind. Progressive & Christian don’t belong in the same sentence.

So, neither does Conservative and Christian, for the same reason.

Individual Conservatives believe many things, but not that the State is god.

Libertarians come close to believing that the individual is at least the measure of all things, if not ‘god’.

For a genuine Christian, there is only one God.

Just because your sin is familiar and old hat to you, doesn’t mean it isn’t sin or not liable to divine rebuke.

I stand by and on my statement. There is no Conservative, or Republican, etc. Christianity. Same reasons as for the obverse.

Politics IS their religion.

It may be less easy for Conservatives to see how they have arranged their own religious views around their own politics.

The point at which a mass faith movement in America transcends this is the point at which the churches of America will pull out of this mire.

>Theology

ie: the study of the nature of God and religious belief.

Therein lies the problem. God is infinite and any personal study and belief of his creation is just that.

A Man believes what he wants to believe and disregards the rest...

NO, REALLY?

One thing about leftists. No matter what label they call themselves, leftism is the religion, end of story.

And yet isn’t it odd that the bible commands just that?

The folly is to assert at any point on earth that we’ve learned everything there is to learn about the Lord.

And perfection does not need to be achieved before stunning progress is made.

Let us not hide behind false humility, one heinous form of pride.
