Great post. I couldn’t even find the Holy Family in this scene at first - it was like a scene designed by NGO’s trying to get more government funding. Note that the spiritual works of mercy are not represented.

Actually, Christ was born to die for our sins and rise from the dead so that we would all have a chance at eternal life. Christ wasn’t born so that the naked would be clothed. Jews, too, believe in charity and long had been clothing the naked and still do so today.

Adding anything to the Nativity that is not directly related to the birth of Jesus is so nuts that I have trouble believing you are sincere. Are you a troll?
I have many friends of Italian ancestry and their Nativity scenes are beautiful and elaborate...and all relevant to the BIRTH of JESUS. The figures represent people, animal, angels, Wise Men, shepherds, who would have been there the night Christ was born. None of this “Mercy” nonsense.
